XP POWER ITX Series 6W DC-DC Converter: A Concise and Efficient Solution

The ITX series is housed in a SIP8 PCB mount plastic case. Featuring a 2:1 input voltage range of 4.5 to 9VDC, 9 to 18VDC, 18 to 36VDC or 36 to 75VDC with regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15 & 24VDC and dual outputs ±5, ±12 & ±15VDC.

The 6W ITX series has 1.5kVDC isolation (3kVDC optional) between input and output, short circuit protection is standard, remote On/Offis optional. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +90°C, with derating above +65°C.


Main features and advantages

The ITX series converters are designed for applications that require high reliability and flexibility, and have the following key features:

Output type and range: Provides stable single and dual output

The single output voltage range is 3.3 VDC to 24 VDC

Dual output voltage range is ± 5.0 to ± 15VDC DC voltage

Input voltage range: It has a 2:1 wide input voltage range, with various nominal inputs such as 4.5 to 9 VDC, 9 to 18 VDC, 18 to 36 VDC, or 36 to 75 VDC on the surface.

Isolation and protection:

Standard configuration includes 1.5 kVDC input/output isolation.

Optional 3.0 kVDC high isolation version (by adding the suffix "- H" to the model).

Standard short-circuit protection and automatic recovery function.

Working temperature: The working temperature range is wide, from -40 ° C to+90 ° C

Most models can provide full power output below+65 ° C

Other options: Optional remote on/off control (by adding the suffix "- R" to the model)

Size: The shell size is 21.85 x 11.1 x 9.2mm (0.86 "x 0.44" x 0.36 ")

(1) Input parameters

Characteristic specification remarks

The input voltage range is 4.5-9VDC, 9-18VDC, 18-36VDC, and 36-75VDC, all with a 2:1 input ratio, corresponding to nominal 5VDC, 12VDC, 24VDC, and 48VDC

Input reflection ripple up to 30mA pk pk measured through a 12 µ H inductor and a 47 µ F capacitor

Input surge 15VDC/100ms (5VDC nominal), 25VDC/100ms (12VDC nominal), 50VDC/100ms (24VDC nominal)-

The maximum cross adjustment rate is ± 5% for dual output models, with one load varying from 25% to 100% and the other load being 100% fixed

Transient response with a maximum deviation of 3% (maximum 5% for 3.3/5V models) and a 25% load change, recovering to ± 1% within 500 µ s

Ripple and noise maximum 75mV pk pk 20MHz bandwidth, measured by 0.1 μ F ceramic capacitor

(3) Isolation and efficiency

Isolation performance: Input/output standard isolation 1500VDC, optional 3000VDC (model suffix plus "- H"); The minimum isolation resistance is 10 Ω, and the maximum isolation capacitance is 50pF

Efficiency: 77% -86%, different models have different efficiencies (e.g. ITX0503SA is 77%, ITX4815S is 85%)

(4) Protection and control functions

Short circuit protection: continuous protection, automatic recovery

Remote switch: optional function, model suffix plus "- R"; Output shutdown: Input 2-4mA (relative to - Vin) to pin 3 through a 1K Ω resistor; Output enabled: open circuit or high impedance


Security and EMC Compliance

Emission standard: Complies with EN55032 Class A (conducted emission)

Immunity standard: Radiation immunity EN61000-4-3 (20V/m A); Surge immunity EN61000-4-5 (3B/2B, requires external input of 330 µ F/100V capacitor); Conducted immunity EN61000-4-6 (3Vrms A)

Input filtering: It needs to be matched with specified capacitors (C1 to C5) and inductors (L), and the components should be installed close to the module to reduce radiated noise
