WOODWARD ProAct Positioner (Flex I/O)

Working mechanism and technical details

(1) Principle of actuator drive

By adopting electric drive technology, high-performance motors convert electrical energy into mechanical energy to drive the output shaft. By regulating the current and voltage, the position of the connected mechanical device is precisely controlled, which is faster in response, higher in accuracy, and lower in energy consumption compared to traditional drives.

(2) Position feedback and adjustment mechanism

High precision position sensors monitor the real-time position of equipment, and the signal is transmitted to the control unit for comparison with the target value. After algorithm calculation, the signal is adjusted to drive the actuator, and closed-loop control ensures accurate positioning of the equipment under complex working conditions.

(3) Characteristics of Flex I/O Technology

Flex I/O is a flexible modular I/O system that is compatible with the WOODWARD processor platform, saving space and providing comprehensive functionality compared to traditional I/O systems. Users can customize I/O types, terminals, and network configurations, with two on-site power terminals for convenient daisy chain connection. One adapter can communicate with 8 I/O modules, with a wide range of module types. It has multiple network options and easy expansion. The terminal base supports multiple wiring methods and additional options, and is designed with anti misoperation switches. Replacing modules does not require disconnecting device wiring or turning off power, making maintenance convenient.

(1) Output specifications of actuator

The output shaft has a rotation stroke of 75 degrees and a torque output of 7-37J (5-27ft lb). Users can choose the appropriate specifications according to the load.

(2) Protection and environmental adaptability

The shell is sturdy, the protection level meets the standard, dustproof, waterproof, shock and vibration resistant, and the working temperature is -40 ° C to+85 ° C. It can operate stably in various environments.
