Omron CP1H-Y20DT-D High-Speed CPU Unit with 1MHz Pulse I/O

The Omron CP1H-Y20DT-D is a high-performance CPU unit from the CP1H series of compact programmable logic controllers. It features 1 MHz pulse input and output capabilities, making it particularly suitable for precision motion control applications. The unit operates on 24V DC power and provides transistor sinking outputs. With 20K steps program memory and built-in high-speed counters, the CP1H-Y20DT-D delivers the processing power required for demanding automation tasks.

CPU Performance and Memory

CPU type: High-speed 32-bit RISC processor. Execution speed: 0.1 µs per basic instruction. Program capacity: 20K steps. Data memory: 32K words (DM), plus 2K words of retentive memory (H area). The CP1H-Y20DT-D supports up to 128 function blocks and multiple program tasks for structured programming. Real-time clock with battery backup ensures accurate timestamping of events.


Built-in I/O Specifications

The CP1H-Y20DT-D includes 12 digital inputs (24V DC) and 8 transistor sinking outputs on the main unit. Additionally, it features line-driver inputs and outputs: 2 axes of line-driver input and 2 axes of line-driver output. The line-driver interfaces support differential signals (RS-422 level) for high noise immunity over long cable runs, making them ideal for connection to servo drives and encoders.

High-Speed Pulse I/O

The CP1H-Y20DT-D is distinguished by its 1 MHz pulse I/O capability. High-speed counters: 2 axes at 1 MHz (line-driver input) plus 2 axes at 100 kHz. The high-speed counters support phase differential, direction-pulse, and up-down counting modes. Position Control Functions

The CP1H-Y20DT-D provides 4-axis position control capability through its combination of line-driver and standard pulse outputs. Dedicated positioning instructions such as SPED (speed control), PULS (pulse output), PLS2 (positioning with acceleration/deceleration), and PWM (pulse width modulation) are supported. The CPU can execute linear interpolation and circular interpolation across multiple axes when expanded with additional modules. The CP1H-Y20DT-D supports expansion of I/O via CP1W series expansion modules. Up to 2 expansion units can be connected, increasing total I/O capacity. The CPU also includes a built-in USB port for programming and a peripheral port for connection to HMIs or programming consoles.

Standard communication: USB 1.1 (mini-B) for connection to CX-Programmer software. Optional RS-232C, RS-422A/485, and Ethernet modules are available as CP1W series expansion units. The serial port supports Host Link, Modbus RTU, No-Protocol, and NT Link protocols. The CPU can also function as a Modbus RTU master to communicate with VFDs, sensors, and other serial devices.
