Honeywell T901-P Terminal Block Assembly for Series 8 I/O

The Honeywell T901-P is a termination assembly designed for use with Series 8 I/O modules in the Experion 8 distributed control system. As part of the IOTA (Input Output Termination Assembly) family, the T901-P provides the interface between field wiring and the I/O module, enabling efficient installation, maintenance, and system configuration. The assembly features detachable terminals that simplify wiring during plant construction and allow for rapid module replacement without disturbing field connections.

The T901-P termination assembly is engineered to complement the Series 8 I/O module design. This vertical orientation, combined with the detachable terminal feature, significantly reduces installation time compared to traditional marshalling panel approaches.

Integration with I/O Modules

The T901-P serves as the mounting base for Series 8 I/O modules. The I/O module plugs directly into the termination assembly, establishing all necessary electrical connections without requiring individual wire terminations per module. This plug-and-play architecture enables rapid module replacement in the event of failure or during system upgrades. When modules are replaced, field wiring remains undisturbed, minimizing downtime and reducing the potential for wiring errors.

Redundancy Support

A key feature of the T901-P is its ability to support redundant I/O module configurations. The termination assembly is designed to accept two I/O modules in a primary-standby arrangement.
