Functional Features
The LCA 180 can store up to 255 user-defined messages with embedded numeric or string variables. It supports scrolling text, blinking, and inverse video. The keypad can be customized to trigger start/stop, reset, or parameter change commands. Communication uses a simple ASCII protocol or Modbus RTU, enabling easy integration with PLCs. The unit also includes a real-time clock for timestamping events and can log up to 100 alarm entries.
Configuration is done using a PC-based tool via the serial port. The monitor supports polling mode and can be set to display data cyclically.
Installation Guidelines
Mount the unit in a panel cutout with the supplied gasket and clips. Connect the 24 V DC power with a 0.5 A fuse. For RS485, use shielded twisted-pair cable with termination resistors. For RS232, use a standard null-modem cable. Set communication parameters via DIP switches on the rear panel. Download the configuration via the programming cable.
Operating Conditions
Indoor use, 0–50 °C, humidity<90%. Vibration 0.3 g (10–150 Hz), shock 5 g (11 ms). Backlight life 30,000 hours.
Applications
Packaging machines, conveyor control, temperature controllers, batch counters, and pump stations.
Compliance
CE, UL, RoHS compliant. Meets EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-3.
Ordering Variants
Available with different backlight colors (amber, blue), RS485 interface, and custom keypad legends.
