Lauer LP035/18 Power Supply Module
The Lauer LP035/18 is a robust, compact power supply module engineered for industrial automation environments. It converts AC mains voltage into a regulated 24 V DC output, providing reliable power to controllers, sensors, actuators, and other field devices. Its slim DIN-rail mountable design saves valuable cabinet space, while built-in protection circuits ensure safe operation even under harsh electrical conditions. This module is an essential component for any distributed control system requiring stable and noise-free DC power.

Functional Features
The LP035/18 incorporates advanced switch-mode technology with active power factor correction (PFC) to minimize harmonic distortion and improve power quality. The output is fully regulated and isolated from the input, providing galvanic separation for safety. The module can be paralleled with identical units for higher current or redundancy, using an optional OR-ing diode module. It also includes a DC OK relay contact (normally open) for remote monitoring of output status. The built-in soft-start circuit limits inrush current during power-up, protecting upstream circuit breakers.
Configuration is straightforward: the output voltage can be fine-tuned using the front-panel potentiometer, and the unit automatically adjusts for input variations. The power supply is certified for use in industrial control cabinets and meets stringent EMC requirements, ensuring compatibility with sensitive electronic equipment.
Installation Guidelines
Mount the LP035/18 on a standard 35 mm DIN rail in a vertical orientation for optimal convection cooling. Allow at least 50 mm of free space above and below for airflow. Connect the AC input wires (L, N, and ground) to the designated terminals, using a 2.5 mm² wire and a 4 A circuit breaker. For DC input, connect + and – accordingly. The output terminals are labeled +V and –V; use twisted pair cables to reduce voltage drops. The DC OK relay (terminals 11 and 14) can be wired to a PLC input for alarm monitoring.
Ensure the grounding terminal is connected to the main protective earth to comply with safety regulations. Do not install the module near heat sources or in direct sunlight. If multiple units are mounted side by side, maintain a 10 mm gap for heat dissipation.
Operating Conditions
The power supply is designed for indoor operation in pollution degree 2 environments. Ambient temperature should not exceed 60 °C, with derating of 2.5% per °C above 50 °C. The unit can withstand vibration of 0.5 g (10–150 Hz) and shock of 10 g (11 ms). The electrolytic capacitors have a typical lifespan of >100,000 hours at 40 °C, ensuring long-term reliability. The fanless design eliminates moving parts, reducing maintenance requirements.
Applications
Typical applications include powering PLCs, distributed I/O modules, HMI panels, sensors, and small actuators in packaging, material handling, and machine tool industries. It is also suitable for building automation, HVAC controls, and test equipment. The wide input range makes it usable in regions with unstable mains voltage.
Compliance and Certifications
CE marked, UL 508 listed, cUL recognized. Complies with EN 61000-6-2 (immunity) and EN 61000-6-4 (emission), EN 62368-1 for safety, and RoHS 2011/65/EU. Also meets EN 61000-3-2 harmonic standards.
Ordering Variants
Available with different output voltages (12 V, 48 V) and higher current ratings (3 A, 5 A). An IP20 version with screw terminals is standard; an IP65 protected version with M12 connectors is available for harsh environments.
