Functional Features
The P090b/L033/02a includes an integrated microcontroller that handles signal processing, scaling, filtering, and communication. The analog inputs can be configured for different sensor types via software, and the digital outputs feature short-circuit protection with automatic reset. The module supports up to 247 nodes on the RS485 bus using Modbus RTU. The optional CANopen interface allows integration into higher-level fieldbus networks. It also includes a real-time clock for timestamping events and a data log buffer for up to 2,000 entries.
Configuration is performed using a PC-based tool that sets I/O mapping, baud rate, and node address. The module can be monitored and controlled remotely via the communication interface.
Installation Guidelines
Mount the module on a 35 mm DIN rail. Connect the 24 V DC power supply with a 2 A fuse. Wire digital inputs and outputs to the terminal blocks using 0.5–1.5 mm² wires. For analog signals, use shielded twisted-pair cables and connect the shield to the earth terminal. For RS485, use a shielded cable with termination resistors (120 Ω) at both ends. Set the node address and baud rate via DIP switches. For CANopen, follow standard wiring practices.
Ensure proper grounding and avoid running signal cables parallel to power cables to minimize interference. Provide adequate ventilation; the module is passively cooled.
Operating Conditions
This module is designed for indoor industrial use in pollution degree 2 environments. Ambient temperature range is -10 to +55 °C, with humidity up to 90% non-condensing. Vibration tolerance is 0.5 g (10–150 Hz) and shock 10 g (11 ms). The module is fanless and has no moving parts, ensuring high reliability.
