Lauer PCS810-1 Interface Module
The Lauer PCS810-1 (specific variant PCS810-100186-C5) is a versatile interface module designed to bridge operator panels, PLCs, and other automation devices. It serves as a communication gateway, converting between different serial and fieldbus standards to enable seamless data exchange in mixed-vendor environments. With its compact DIN-rail mountable housing, this module is ideal for upgrading legacy systems or adding extra connectivity to existing control networks.

Functional Features
The PCS810-1 acts as a protocol converter, allowing devices that speak different protocols to communicate. For example, it can convert Modbus RTU from a sensor network to Modbus TCP for a SCADA system. The module includes a built-in web server for configuration and diagnostic access via browser. It also supports data logging and alarm forwarding. Configuration can be done via a PC tool or through the integrated web interface. The USB port is used for firmware updates and backup.
The module supports up to 16 simultaneous connections and can route data transparently or with user-defined mapping. It includes a watchdog timer and automatic reboot on error.
Installation Guidelines
Mount the module on a DIN rail. Connect the power supply and the communication cables. For RS485, use twisted-pair shielded cable with termination resistors. Set the dip switches for baud rate and address. For Ethernet, connect to a switch using CAT5e. Access the web interface using the default IP address (can be changed).
Operating Conditions
This module is for indoor use in control cabinets. Temperature range 0–50 °C. Vibration up to 0.5 g.
Applications
Used in system integration projects, retrofitting old machines, and connecting remote I/O stations.
Compliance
CE, UL, RoHS.
Ordering Variants
Available with additional fieldbus ports (Profibus, DeviceNet) and with extended temperature range.
