The PL5901-T42-24V is programmed using Pro-Face's GP-Pro EX software (version 3.0 or later). The software supports creation of screens with buttons, numeric entry, trend graphs, alarms, recipes, and data logging. The panel includes a real-time clock and battery-backed SRAM for data retention. It can also be configured as a Modbus TCP server to allow external SCADA access to screen data.
The unit can simultaneously connect to multiple PLCs via different ports (e.g., Ethernet to a Rockwell PLC and RS-232 to a VFD). It supports up to 16 devices with separate communication protocols. The built-in Ethernet port also enables remote monitoring via web server (optional) and firmware updates.
This HMI is commonly used in packaging lines, conveyor systems, injection molding machines, and HVAC control panels. Its compact size and rugged construction make it suitable for both OEM equipment and retrofit projects.
