In 2021, Jiangnan Shipbuilding signed an order for a 79,800 cubic meter MARK III thin-film LNG carrier with Guangdong Jiufeng Energy, officially entering the field of thin-film LNG carrier construction. According to the company announcement, Jiangnan Shipbuilding and ADNOC Logistics & Services, a subsidiary of ABU Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), signed a contract for the construction of two 175,000 cubic meters of LNG carriers.
