AB 1734-AENT POINT I/O EtherNet/IP Adapter
Safety and environmental information: The products are intended for use in industrial environments of pollution class 2, overvoltage category II, at altitudes up to 2000 metres above sea level. Group 1, Class A industrial equipment, to be installed in a suitable enclosure. Operate in a manner that prevents electrostatic discharges, disconnect the power supply when connecting or disconnecting the RTB, and avoid arcing in hazardous environments.
Pre-installation: Firmware version specific for use with 1756-ENBT or 1788-ENBT modules; IP address assignment using the BootP Utility, version 2.3.2 or higher. Understand the message passing mechanism, the output will enter the Idle state first when the I/O connection is established. When reusing the I/O module, if the baud rate was previously set to fixed, it must be configured to automatic baud rate.
Installation Procedure: When installing on DIN rail, place the adapter vertically on top of the rail and press to lock it; when installing a replacement adapter, remove the original adapter and install the new adapter correctly according to the procedure. Remove the safety cover during installation and set the node address after installation.
Network Address Setting: The IP address can be set through the thumbwheel switch, DHCP server or non-volatile memory on the module. The setting range of the thumbwheel switch is 001 - 254, the corresponding IP address is 192.168.1.xxx, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, and the gateway address is 0.0.0.0. If the setting is invalid and DHCP is enabled, the adapter requests an address from the server; if DHCP is not enabled, the address in non-volatile memory is used.
Wiring and Troubleshooting: Make sure the power is off when wiring to prevent arcing. Judge the operation of the device by the status of each indicator, such as system power, field power, module status, network status and network activity indicators, different colours and flashing conditions represent different faults or normal state.
Specification parameters: Expanded I/O capacity up to 63 modules, with different connection limitations; communication rate of 10/100Mbits/s, supporting half-duplex or full-duplex. The input voltage of power supply is 24V dc (10 - 28.8V dc range), and there are detailed parameters for power consumption, heat dissipation, isolation voltage and so on.

I/O Capacity and Connectivity: Maximum 63 modules can be connected, of which up to 5 rack-optimised connections (for digital modules) and 20 direct connections are supported. 1734-AENT backplane current output is 1.0A, the actual number of modules is limited by the sum of the current demand of each module, and more modules can be connected by using the 1734-EP24DC backplane expansion power supply to increase the backplane current.
Communication specification: Communication rate is 10/100Mbits/s, support half-duplex or full-duplex mode.
