After 16 years of research, Sinopec has broken through key core technologies such as polymerization, spinning, and engineering amplification, including problems that many domestic research teams have been unable to attack for a long time. Finally won the para-aramid technology with independent intellectual property rights, developed the mysterious "gold wire", broke through the foreign technology blockade in one fell fell, filled the domestic gap.

On November 20, 2019, SINOPEC's "Ten Dragons" research project - "Development of complete set of technology for thousand-ton level counterpoint aramid industrial demonstration device" passed the identification in its Yizheng Chemical fiber. The expert group agreed that the project as a whole reached the international advanced level.

What is "gold wire"?

Have you ever heard of the mysterious "golden wire"? It's a high-tech fiber, golden in color and expensive, Cambi gold.

It has ultra-high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, light weight and excellent performance. People figuratively compare it to "bullets can not penetrate, fire can not burn", the name of this fiber is called para-aramid fiber.

Aramid fiber and carbon fiber, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber and known as the three high-performance fibers, in the national defense military industry and civil industry have a wide range of applications, is a powerful and strong military strategic materials.

What products can be made?

Products made of "gold wire" arylon fiber are widely used in optical fiber and cable, rope webbing, skeleton materials, composite materials, friction sealing materials, textile and security protection and other fields, and its standard is body armor.

The body armor made of aramid fiber, weighing only 1.5kg, can withstand and disperse the energy of bullets and shrapnel several times higher than the steel plate, and can resist the continuous fire of light machine guns.

As the "pyramid" in the field of fiber materials, China's high-performance fiber industry started late, and there is a big gap between the technical level and large-scale production capacity and developed countries.

High-performance fiber production technology has been blocked by Western countries in the past. With the development of China's national defense and national economy, the demand for high-performance fibers will become more and more large. Internationally, product prices are rising, and the application of domestic high-performance fibers in national defense and special fields is also subject to foreign supplies.

To this end, breaking the foreign blockade and monopoly, and vigorously developing the high-performance fiber industry has become a main direction of China's chemical fiber industry.

About Yizheng chemical fiber

Yizheng Chemical Fiber Company is China's modern chemical fiber and chemical fiber raw material production base built and developed since the reform and opening up, and is now a high-end polyester and special fiber research and development and production base of Sinopec. For 41 years, the factory has produced more than 44 million tons of polyester chemical fiber products, which can add 80 sets of "Dacron" new clothes for each person in the country.

The first "borrow to build a factory"

In April 1978, Yizheng chemical fiber Base was listed as a project to introduce a complete set of new technologies.

On July 4, 1978, the preparation leading group and the preparation headquarters of Jiangsu Petroleum Chemical Fiber General Plant officially started the preparation. Negotiations on "three links and one level" and equipment introduction began rapidly.

In November 1980, Yizheng chemical fiber project was forced to suspend construction. Yizheng chemical fiber builders emancipate their minds and dare to be the first, in the case of only 300 million yuan allocated by the state, a total investment of 1 billion yuan was built through internal and external borrowing.

At that time, Zhang Yaohua, deputy commander of the preparation headquarters of the Ritualization project, drafted a "situation report".

In 1981, China International Trust and Investment Corporation issued 10 billion yen bonds in the Japanese financial market to raise the necessary funds for the first phase of Yizheng Chemical Fiber project.

Yizheng Chemical Fiber created the first state-owned enterprises "borrow to build factories, debt management", this unique way of investment and construction, known as the "Yizheng model".

Yizheng Chemical Fiber phase I project has a total of 16 polyester staple fiber production lines with an annual output of 15,000 tons. The overall use of Japan's Toyo textile technology. In order to reduce the introduction of investment, with the strong support of the state, Yizheng chemical fiber only introduced 2 production lines as a whole, and the remaining 14 lines adopted the method of technology and trade cooperation, introduced foreign technical drawings, manufactured equipment by domestic manufacturers, and cooperated to tackle key problems.
