Core advantages of series 90-30 programmable controllers

Powerful development tools: providing all programming languages, supporting user-defined function blocks, a single software package supporting the entire range of GE Fanuc controller products, with complete online development, debugging, monitoring and other tools.

Flexible system expansion: The system design can be finely adjusted according to performance requirements and budget, with multiple controllers and I/O modules to choose from. The system is open and upgradable, protecting user investment.

Main components and functions

CPU

The entry-level CPU is embedded on the backplane, the mid-range and above CPUs are modular, and the high-performance CPU is based on the 386EX processor.

Different models of CPUs have differences in Boolean execution speed, user logic memory, I/O points, etc., and support multiple communication options and fieldbus/device networks.

backplane

Divided into 5 slots and 10 slots, there are types such as CPU backplane, expansion backplane, and remote backplane.

Expansion backboards and remote backboards have different maximum distance limits, sizes, and internal power sources used.


Power module

Easy to install, compatible with any type of CPU, customizable range, with current limiting function.

According to the CPU performance classification, it is classified as simple level, fail safe level, and fault-tolerant level, and some models support redundant power supply.

I/O module

Discrete I/O module: The input module is connected to external input devices, and the output module is connected to external output devices, supporting parameters such as different voltage ranges and currents.

Analog I/O module: used to control processes such as flow, temperature, and pressure, with different channel numbers, ranges, resolutions, and other characteristics.

There are also special I/O modules such as millivolt I/O modules, RTD input modules, strain gauge I/O modules, temperature control modules, thermocouple I/O modules, etc.

Network and distributed I/O systems: There are multiple optional communication modules, such as Ethernet, Profibus DP, Genius, and DeviceNet, which are easy to install and configure.

Other modules: including serial communication module, power monitoring module, pneumatic module, programmable coprocessor module, motion module (high-speed counting, servo control, stepper control), remote expansion module, etc.

Portable Program Download Device (PPDD): Upload and download series 90-30 configurations through a USB memory stick, without the need for a PC, easy to operate, with multiple advantages and status indicators.


Attachments and Configuration Guide

The attachments include terminal modules, converter toolkits, cables, batteries, etc.

When configuring, factors such as terminal module configuration, battery selection, and power consumption should be considered, and typical application configuration examples are provided.


Servo system related

α and β i series servo amplifiers: Reliable performance, used in conjunction with GE DSM300 series motion controllers, with different continuous torque ranges and power configurations.

VersaMotion: includes servo motors and amplifier series, supports multiple control modes, has built-in functions and setting features, and offers a variety of components and accessories.
