Application Fields and Selection Guidelines
6.1 Typical Applications
Oil and gas: Combustible gas cut-off (DVGW certification), emergency shutdown, venting.
Chemical and process industries: corrosive media, high viscosity polymers, slurries containing solid particles.
Power generation: boiler soot blowing, coal gasification filter blowback, cooling water control.
Mechanical manufacturing: machine tool coolant, lubrication system, hydraulic fixtures.
Vacuum technology: vacuum packaging, vacuum handling, coating equipment.
Adhesive and Coating: Glue laminated wood, automotive coating.
6.2 Selection Points
Medium characteristics: gas, liquid, high viscosity, containing particles? Do you need bellows sealing (to prevent leakage)?
Pressure and vacuum: maximum working pressure, do you need bidirectional flow?
Path and flow rate: calculated based on Kv value and allowable pressure drop.
Switching frequency: For high frequencies (>1 Hz), direct acting or fast pilot type should be selected.
Environment and medium temperature: Choose appropriate sealing materials and valve body materials.
Explosion proof requirements: Is ATEX Zone 2 or Zone 1 required? Do we need DVGW gas certification?
Control mode: direct electromagnet (24 V DC/230 V AC) or pneumatic pilot? Do we need proportional control?
Electrical connections: DIN EN 175301-803 A-type/B-type plugs, M12 connectors, junction boxes.
Quality and Certification
M ü ller Co ax strictly implements the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, and all valves undergo final testing on a dedicated testing bench. The product complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EG). The main certifications include:
DVGW: German Gas and Water Industry Association, used for gas pipelines.
ATEX: Explosion proof Directive, applicable to potentially explosive environments (gases and dust).
T Ü V: German Technical Supervision Association, used for liquid fuel safety.
SIL: Safety integrity level assessment can be provided upon request.
