Eaton 5P Series UPS: Provides efficient and intelligent line interactive power protection for critical IT equipment

In today's digital age, the stable operation of servers, network devices, and storage systems is directly related to business continuity and data security. As a leader in the field of global power management, Eaton 5P series uninterruptible power supply (UPS), with its efficient, intelligent management and flexible deployment, has become an ideal choice for small and medium-sized data centers, enterprise rooms and edge computing environments. Product Overview: Online Interactive Architecture and High Density Design

The Eaton 5P series UPS covers the power range of 650 VA to 1550 VA and adopts an advanced Line Interactive high-frequency topology structure, outputting pure sine waves. It can perfectly adapt to sensitive loads such as modern active PFC (power factor correction) servers. This series offers two installation forms: Tower and Rack 1U. The 1U model can achieve a power output of up to 1100 W at a height of only 44 mm and has excellent energy density.

All models support automatic recognition at 50/60 Hz, with adjustable output voltage (200/208/220/230/240 V), and are compatible with power grid standards in different regions around the world.


Core Technologies and Innovative Functions

Efficient and energy-saving design

The 5P series achieves an efficiency of up to 98% in normal mode through optimized electrical design, significantly reducing cooling and electricity costs. Its efficient operating characteristics meet the stringent energy utilization requirements of modern green data centers.

ABM ®  Battery management technology

Adopting Eaton's patented three-stage charging technology (ABM) ®), Compared to traditional charging methods, it can extend battery life by up to 50%. This technology uses temperature compensation charging and automatic battery testing to prevent overcharging and deep discharging of the battery, ensuring that the battery is always in its optimal state. The battery supports hot swappable replacement without the need to shut down the load device; Optional hot swappable maintenance bypass module, even capable of replacing the entire UPS without interrupting power supply.

Load Segment Control

The output sockets are divided into two independent and controllable socket groups, which users can achieve through LCD or power management software:

Prioritize shutting down non critical loads: In the event of a power outage, automatically shut down non critical equipment to extend the battery life of critical equipment.

Remote restart: Remote restart of locked network devices to reduce on-site maintenance requirements.

Planned shutdown and sequential startup: Implement automated on/off management of multiple devices to prevent surge currents.


Graphic LCD display screen

The newly designed graphical LCD provides intuitive single screen information display, including UPS status, key measurement parameters (voltage, frequency, load, battery capacity, etc.), and energy consumption data (kWh). Supporting seven language displays, combined with simple navigation buttons, users can easily complete configuration and monitoring.

Energy metering function

The 5P series has built-in energy metering function, which allows real-time viewing of device energy consumption data (kWh) through LCD or Eaton power management software, helping users quantify electricity consumption and optimize energy management strategies.

Wide input voltage range and adjustable sensitivity

The input voltage range is wide up to 160-294 V (which can be further expanded to 150-294 V), reducing the number of battery discharges and extending battery life during severe grid fluctuations. Users can adjust the input waveform sensitivity through LCD or software according to the on-site environment (such as generator power supply) to achieve optimal adaptation.

Communication and monitoring capabilities
