Product Overview: Dual Conversion Online UPS with Full Scene Adaptation
The Eaton EX series UPS covers multiple power ranges from 1000 VA to 3000 VA, offering tower and rack mounted (RT2U) installation options, suitable for diverse scenarios ranging from small and medium-sized enterprise data centers to industrial control cabinets. This series adopts a dual conversion online topology structure, equipped with automatic bypass and power factor correction functions, ensuring that the output power is always pure and stable.
Main models and power levels:
Model Rated power (VA/W) Input voltage range Output socket configuration
EX 1000 1000 VA / 900 W 100–284 V 6 × IEC C13(10A)
EX 1500 1500 VA / 1350 W 100–284 V 6 × IEC C13(10A)
EX 2200 2200 VA / 1980 W 100–284 V 8 × IEC C13(10A)+ 1 × IEC C19(16A)
EX 3000 3000 VA / 2700 W 100–284 V 8 × IEC C13(10A)+ 1 × IEC C19(16A)
All models support 50/60 Hz adaptive and can be set to variable frequency mode (output power reduced by 15%) to meet the grid standards of different regions around the world.
Core technology: high availability and lowest total cost of ownership
Double Conversion Online Topology
The EX series adopts the VFI-SS-111 topology structure, which converts input AC power into DC power and then inverts it into pure AC power output, completely isolating voltage fluctuations, frequency offsets, and harmonic interference in the power grid. Even in harsh power grid environments, it can provide continuous and stable power supply for loads.
Powershare Smart Socket Management
Output sockets can be grouped and independently controlled, supporting:
Load shedding: Prioritize ensuring power supply for critical equipment and extend backup time.
Remote restart: Control specific device restarts remotely through software or SNMP.
Sequential startup: Prevent surge current caused by multiple devices starting simultaneously.
Hot swappable batteries and expandable backup time
The battery module supports hot swappable replacement without the need for shutdown maintenance. By connecting EXB extended battery packs (up to 4), backup time can be extended to several hours. For example, under 50% load, the EX 1000 can backup for 18 minutes on a single machine, and after installing 4 EXBs, it can last up to 250 minutes.
Automatic battery management and deep discharge protection
UPS automatically performs battery testing every week (the cycle can be adjusted through LCD or software), and automatically identifies external battery units to optimize charging strategies and extend battery life. The deep discharge protection function prevents permanent damage caused by excessive discharge of the battery.
High power factor and wide input range
The EX series has a rated output power factor of 0.9 and is suitable for capacitive loads such as modern servers and network equipment. The input voltage range is wide up to 100-284 V, and it can still stabilize the output under extreme voltage conditions, reducing the number of battery discharges.

Flexible deployment and connectivity options
Tower to rack conversion: The RT2U model can be freely converted between tower and 2U rack, suitable for shallow and deep cabinets, saving space.
Multiple input/output interfaces:
Input: IEC C14 (10A) or IEC C20 (16A) socket, optional terminal block input (HotSwap MBP model).
Output: IEC C13/C19 sockets, supporting FlexPDU expansion to 12 sockets.
Maintenance bypass module (HotSwap MBP): allows for the replacement of UPS hosts without interrupting load power supply, greatly improving maintenance convenience.

Remote management and monitoring:
Standard configuration includes USB+RS232 serial port+dry contact output+remote start stop terminal.
Optional communication card: Network Card-MS(SNMP/HTML)、Network and Modbus Card-MS(SNMP/HTML/ModBus/JBus)、Relay Card-MS( Dry contact expansion).
Environmental monitoring probe: monitors temperature, humidity, and 2-channel dry contact input, and reports in real-time through SNMP or HTML.
Software Support: Intelligent Power Management
Eaton provides Intelligent Power Manager software that can centrally manage multiple UPS systems, achieving:
Real time monitoring of power status and load
Automatic shutdown and restart strategy
Integration of virtualization platforms (such as VMware, Hyper-V)
Email and SMS alert notifications
