Working principle

When a grounding fault occurs in the system, residual current will be generated, that is, the sum of the current vectors of each phase is no longer zero. The current transformer inside HIEE205010R0003 will detect this residual current and convert it into an electrical signal to be transmitted to the core control unit of the relay.
