Working principle

The grounding fault relay mainly operates based on the principle of residual current detection. In normal operation, the vector sum of the currents in each phase of the electrical system is zero. When a grounding fault occurs in the system, residual current will be generated, that is, the sum of the current vectors of each phase is no longer zero. The current transformer inside HIEE205010R0003 will detect this residual current and convert it into an electrical signal to be transmitted to the core control unit of the relay. The control unit analyzes and processes the received signal. When the residual current exceeds the preset threshold, the control unit will issue instructions to drive the contact of the relay to act, thereby achieving the functions of alarm and cutting off the fault circuit.
