Introduction: The Path of Robot Innovation for Half a Century
Since becoming Japan's first industrial robot manufacturer in 1968, NACHI-FUJIKOSHI has continuously launched robot products that integrate excellent technology and innovative capabilities, relying on its profound technical expertise in the fields of hydraulics and machine tools. After more than half a century of development, NACHI has established deep cooperative relationships with numerous automotive and general industrial enterprises around the world. Its robot products cover almost all industrial automation fields, from high-speed and high-precision small-scale operations to heavy material handling, from arc welding and spot welding to clean room handling, from palletizing to assembly and polishing.
This article is based on NACHI's latest product catalog, providing a comprehensive and systematic technical analysis of its robot series, controller technology, software ecosystem, and global service system. The aim is to provide a professional and detailed reference guide for automation system integrators, manufacturing enterprises, and engineering technicians.
Overview of Product Series and Application Fields
The NACHI robot product line is divided into multiple series based on functionality and application scenarios, covering four core areas: handling, palletizing, clean room, and welding. It also provides a wide range of option controllers and supporting software.
According to the application matrix table, the applicable processes for each series of robots include:
Machine tool loading and unloading, picking and placing, loading and assembly
Deburring/polishing, gluing and sealing
Bolt tightening, picking and palletizing, measuring and testing
Glass substrate handling (electronics industry)
Spot welding and seam welding (automotive and parts, metal processing, agricultural machinery, engineering machinery)
Die casting, resin molding, stamping operations, etc
The following will be unfolded one by one according to the series.
MZ series: High speed, high-precision, compact robots
The MZ series is NACHI's most representative small high-speed robot, known for its compact structure, high speed, high precision, and multiple installation methods. This series has a load capacity ranging from 1kg to 25kg, with a maximum working radius ranging from 350mm to 1882mm, and is available in 5-axis or 6-axis configurations.
2.1 Main Models and Performance Highlights
MZ07/MZ07P: Load 7kg, radius 723mm, repeat positioning accuracy ± 0.02mm. Body weight is only 36kg, power consumption 0.4kVA. Supports floor, wall mounted, inverted, and tilted installation. IP67 protection level (dustproof and waterproof), with rust proof/coolant resistant coating, suitable for harsh environments such as machine tool loading and unloading, deburring, etc.
MZ07L/MZ07LP: Long arm version, radius 912mm, load 7kg, also maintaining ± 0.02mm accuracy.
MZ10: Load 10kg, radius 723mm, same external dimensions and workspace as MZ07, but load increased to 10kg. IP67 equivalent.
MZ12: Load 12kg, radius 1454mm, accuracy ± 0.03mm.
MZ25: Load 25kg, radius 1882mm, accuracy ± 0.05mm, suitable for handling heavier workpieces.
CZ10: Load 10kg, radius 1300mm, accuracy ± 0.1mm, IP54 protection.
2.2 Technical Features
Internal wiring: The tool cable is completely embedded in the robot arm, greatly improving cable reliability and allowing for operation in narrow spaces.
Wide homework range: Improve productivity and can be paired with visual sensors to achieve high specification applications.
Dustproof and anti drip design: Models such as MZ07/10 achieve IP67 equivalent and provide rust proof and coolant resistant paint surfaces, suitable for cutting fluid splash environments.
Multiple installation directions: In addition to standard ground installation, it supports inverted, wall mounted, and inclined installation, making it easy to integrate into specialized equipment.
2.3 Safety Design
Some models of the MZ series (such as MZ07P) integrate dual security mechanisms:
Functional safety: Stop immediately upon detection of human contact.
Inherent safety: rounded arm design, optimized joint clearance to avoid injury to the human body. This design has been certified by ISO 10218-1 and TS 15066, and has received awards from certification bodies.
In addition, this series supports intuitive hand pulled teaching function, and operators can directly drag and drop the robot arm for programming, greatly reducing the difficulty of teaching.
EC Series: New SCARA Robot
The EC06 series is a horizontal multi joint (SCARA) robot launched by NACHI, with a simple structure, high speed, and high precision, designed specifically for applications such as assembly and handling.
3.1 Specification Parameters
Provide three maximum working radius options: 500mm, 600mm, and 700mm, with models EC06-5020, EC06-6020, and EC06-7020, respectively.
Number of axes: 4 axes (J1 rotation, J2 rotation, J3 vertical, J4 rotation)
Maximum load: 6kg (rated 3kg)
Allowable wrist moment of inertia: 0.05kg · m ² (rated 0.01kg · m ²)
