Purpose: REF610 is a multifunctional feeder protection relay mainly used for incoming and outgoing line protection in medium voltage distribution substations. It can also be used as backup protection for motors, transformers, and generators, and is suitable for industrial and utility applications.
Core functions: It has multiple protection functions such as overcurrent protection, ground fault protection, thermal protection, phase failure protection, circuit breaker failure protection, arc protection, automatic reclosing, etc. It supports real-time data monitoring, fault recording, and communication functions.
Technical Characteristics
Protection function:
Overcurrent protection: includes low setting stage (I>), high setting stage (I>>), and instantaneous stage (I>>>), supports definite time and inverse time (IDMT) characteristics, and can adapt to different fault scenarios.
Ground fault protection: Non directional, divided into low setting value (I0>) and high setting value (I0>>) stages, supporting IDMT characteristics.
Thermal protection: Simulate cable thermal overload and achieve overload warning and tripping by calculating the thermal capacity (θ>).
Arc protection: Detecting arcs through optional light sensors, supporting single relay or multi relay linkage, and quickly tripping.
Automatic Recloser (AR): Supports 1-3 reclosures and can be configured with different dead time and reclosing sequences.
Measurement and Communication:
It can measure parameters such as three-phase current, grounding current, and phase imbalance with an accuracy of ± 3%.
Supports multiple communication protocols, including SPA bus IEC 60870-5-103、Modbus RTU/ASCII、DNP 3.0, Supports fiber optic or RS-485 interfaces.
