The Lauer AIO unit eliminates the need for separate components by integrating the PC, display, and I/O in a single housing. This reduces cabling, saves space, and improves system reliability. The unit is ideal for SCADA applications, machine control, and data logging. The integrated CAN bus allows direct connection to field devices, while the Ethernet port enables plant network integration.
The AIO unit includes a powerful Intel Core i3 processor, capable of running demanding visualization software and complex control algorithms simultaneously. The SSD ensures fast boot times and reliable operation in vibration-prone environments. The display can be used with or without the touch option, depending on the application.
Mount the AIO unit in a panel cut-out using the supplied clamping brackets. Connect the 24 V DC power supply to the terminal block. The integrated power unit accepts 24 V DC (18–36 V) and provides regulated internal voltages. Connect the Ethernet cable for network communication and the I/O cables for field devices. The unit's dimensions fit standard industrial panel openings.
Pre-configured with either Windows or Linux, the AIO unit is ready to run Lauer HMI software or third-party SCADA packages. The BIOS includes features for power-on after failure and remote wake-on-LAN. The operating system is locked down for industrial security, with write-filter options to protect the system drive.
The unit is fanless, with a passive cooling design that eliminates a common failure point. Routine maintenance includes cleaning the display and inspecting cable connections. The MTBF is estimated at 40,000 hours. In case of storage failure, the SSD can be replaced; the operating system can be restored from a recovery partition.
The AIO unit is compatible with most industrial automation software packages, including Lauer's own PCS and VPC applications. It can also run standard OPC UA, Modbus, and other industrial protocol stacks. Its integrated I/O makes it suitable for direct interface to sensors and actuators in smaller machine applications.
CE, FCC, and RoHS certified. The unit is designed for industrial environments with moderate vibration and temperature variations. ESD protection is provided on all external ports.
Lauer provides a hardware installation manual, software configuration guide, and driver packs. Technical support is available for integration and application development.
The Lauer AIO Automation in One PC unit offers a compact, powerful, and reliable integrated solution for industrial control and visualization, reducing system complexity and improving overall performance.
