Functional Features
The module includes a built-in real-time clock for timestamping events and data logging. It supports automatic baud rate detection and can be configured via a web interface through the optional Ethernet module. Diagnostic LEDs provide status of each input and output, as well as power and communication. The analog inputs can be configured as RTD or thermocouple inputs with linearization.
Installation Guidelines
Install the module on a DIN rail, ensuring proper grounding. Use the terminal blocks for power and I/O connections. Shielded cables are recommended for analog signals; the shield should be connected to the ground bar. The RS485 network requires termination resistors at both ends. Configure the node address and parity via the onboard DIP switches.
Operating Conditions
Designed for industrial environments, the module operates from -20 to 60 °C with humidity up to 95 %. It can withstand vibration of 1 g (10–150 Hz) and shock of 20 g (11 ms). The power supply has an efficiency of 88 % and includes active PFC.
Applications
This module is ideal for process monitoring, building automation, water treatment plants, and conveyor systems. It can be used as a remote I/O station connected via RS485 to a master PLC, or as a standalone controller for small applications using the integrated logic functions.
Compliance and Certifications
CE and UL listed. Complies with EMC directive 2014/30/EU and low voltage directive 2014/35/EU. RoHS compliant.
Ordering Variants
Available variants include extended temperature range, higher power output versions, and models with integrated Ethernet or Profibus interfaces.
