Functional Features
The PCS 8010 supports a wide range of communication drivers including Modbus RTU/TCP, Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley DF1, Mitsubishi FX, and Omron Host Link. It includes a built-in web server for remote access and diagnostics, and it can log data to USB or microSD. The panel is programmed using Lauer Configurator Pro, which offers a rich object library, trend charts, alarm management, and recipe handling. The unit supports multi-language text and up to 10 user levels with password protection.
Additional features include screen saver, adjustable backlight dimming, and a watchdog timer for automatic reset. The Ethernet port supports DHCP and static IP, and the USB ports allow connection of external storage or peripherals.
Installation Guidelines
Mount the panel in a panel cutout with the supplied clips and gasket. Connect the 24 V DC power supply with a 1 A fuse. For RS485, use shielded twisted-pair cable with 120 Ω termination resistors. For Ethernet, use CAT5e cable. Connect the USB ports for project download or data transfer. Ensure adequate rear clearance for cables and ventilation.
Ground the panel to the main earth. Avoid placing near high-voltage equipment or heat sources.
