The Lauer PCS090 Topline (version PG 090.204.9, reference 140194) is a compact alphanumeric operator panel designed for small to medium industrial machines. It provides a clear LCD display, a tactile keypad, and flexible serial communication, making it ideal for parameter setting, status monitoring, and alarm handling in space‑constrained applications.
The terminal features a 2‑line by 16‑character LCD with an LED backlight (yellow‑green). Contrast is adjustable via a front potentiometer. The keypad consists of 12 keys: 6 function keys (F1‑F6) and 6 navigation/enter keys (arrows, Enter, Escape). The keys are backlit and rated for 300,000 operations. The front overlay is IP54 rated.
The panel provides a RS‑232 serial port (9‑pin D‑sub) with baud rates from 2400 to 115200 bps. An optional RS‑485 module is available for multi‑drop networks. Protocols supported: LAUER proprietary, Modbus RTU (master/slave), and ASCII.
Onboard flash memory (64 KB) stores up to 32 screens, each with static text and numeric variables. The terminal manages 64 internal registers and 16 alarm messages. Configuration is done using the LAUER PCS‑Config software.
