The Radisys EPC-16 is a rugged embedded single board computer (SBC) in the PC/104 form factor. Based on a low-power AMD 486-class processor, the EPC-16 provides x86 compatibility for industrial control applications requiring a compact, stackable solution. It is designed for use in manufacturing equipment, medical devices, and transportation systems.

Dimensions: 90 × 96 mm (PC/104 standard)

The EPC-16 is built for industrial environments with a wide operating temperature range and resistance to shock and vibration. The PC/104 stackable architecture allows the board to be combined with analog I/O, digital I/O, and communication modules to create a complete embedded system without a backplane. On-board battery-backed SRAM retains configuration data during power loss.
The EPC-16 is compatible with DOS, Windows 98/NT/2000, Linux, and real-time operating systems such as QNX and VxWorks. The BIOS is fully PC-compatible and includes setup options for power management, boot order, and hardware monitoring. The board can boot from CompactFlash, IDE hard drive, or network (PXE).
Typical applications include industrial automation controllers, medical diagnostic equipment, in-vehicle computers, and portable data loggers. The EPC-16's low power consumption and fanless operation make it suitable for sealed enclosures and battery-powered systems.
