The SABO MPB.533.00 PLM500 (also referenced as AEB.550.00) is a compact programmable logic controller CPU module designed for small to medium-scale automation applications. The PLM500's onboard I/O reduces the need for additional modules in many applications. The 16 digital inputs accept signals from sensors, switches, and pushbuttons. The 12 transistor outputs can directly drive relays, solenoids, and indicator lights. Two analog inputs allow connection of simple analog sensors without an external analog module. For larger systems, the module supports up to 128 expansion I/O points via the RS-485 bus.
Programming is accomplished using SABO's free engineering software, which supports IEC 61131-3 languages. The built-in Ethernet port enables remote programming, monitoring, and data exchange with SCADA systems via Modbus TCP. The RS-485 port supports Modbus RTU master/slave communication, allowing the PLM500 to interface with drives, HMIs, and other PLCs.
