The SBS VIPC616 is a 6U VME IndustryPack (IP) carrier board that provides a flexible platform for VMEbus-based industrial control and data acquisition systems. This carrier board accepts up to four IndustryPack modules, enabling system integrators to customize I/O configurations for specific application requirements.
The VIPC616 supports a 32-bit RISC processor with bus speeds of 32 MHz or 66 MHz, and up to 100 MHz processing capability. The board accepts 5 V input power and features active LED indicators for each IndustryPack slot. The design includes a power monitor with front-panel indicator and filtered, fused power rails for each slot, ensuring reliable operation of installed IP modules.
Each of the four IndustryPack slots supports I/O, ID, memory, and interrupt cycles, allowing the use of a wide range of IP modules including analog I/O, digital I/O, serial communication, and specialty function modules. Front-panel I/O is provided through non-shielded right-angle ribbon connectors, with each slot featuring an active LED indicator for status monitoring.
