Titanium dioxide is the world's best performance of the white pigment, known as the king of white, is widely used in paint, paper, rubber, plastics, chemical fiber, cosmetics, medicine, food and other industries.

Titanium dioxide is an excellent matting agent for chemical fibers. Adding a small amount of titanium dioxide in the production process of chemical fibers can not only achieve good matting effect, but also improve the strength and toughness of chemical fibers. With the rapid increase of the production capacity of chemical fibers, especially polyester fibers (polyester) in China, the demand for titanium dioxide for chemical fiber extinction is also rising rapidly.

Due to the characteristics of the production and application of chemical fiber such as polyester fiber, various properties and technical characteristics of titanium dioxide for chemical fiber are determined. Titanium dioxide used in chemical fiber must be anatase type, with excellent whiteness, water-based dispersion, extinction ability, very few coarse particles, moderate particle size and relatively narrow particle size distribution, and must also occur in the polyester production process, especially in the polycondensation process does not occur or rarely occur secondary condensation phenomenon.

First, polyester slice

1, chemical fiber grade titanium dioxide properties: white powder, insoluble in water, no physiological toxicity, chemical stability, with light achromatic power, covering power and other excellent properties. Since it has a refractive index close to that of polyester, when added to polyester, the difference in refraction between the two is used to achieve the purpose of extinction, reducing the light reflectivity of the chemical fiber and eliminating the unsuitable luster. It is the most ideal polyester matting material, widely used in chemical fiber, textile and other fields.

Second, viscose fiber

Chemical fiber grade titanium dioxide: In the chemical fiber industry and textile industry to play a whitening and extinction application. It can also increase the toughness and softness of the fiber. Viscose special chemical fiber titanium dioxide needs to improve the resistivity of titanium dioxide to prevent the secondary condensation of titanium dioxide in addition and use. To prevent the secondary condensation of titanium dioxide, the particle size of titanium dioxide can reach a better average value through centrifuge while improving the grinding time during production or use, so that the coarse particles of titanium dioxide can be reduced. In different processes, the viscosity of the chemical fiber process can be increased when the output is not very large, and the titanium dioxide has better dispersion when beating. Since it has a refractive index close to the polyester 2 coating, when added to the polyester, the difference in refractive index of the two is used to achieve the purpose of extinction, reduce the optical reflectance of the chemical fiber and eliminate the unsuitable luster. It is the most ideal polyester matting material, widely used in chemical fiber, textile and other fields.

Three, color masterbatch

Chemical fiber grade titanium dioxide: used for color masterbatch to play the role of matting agent, by mixing with PP, PVC and other plastic color master powder, through the double screw extruder, fusion, mixing, extrusion molding. Matting agent white masterbatch is a raw material directly used for fiber production, in which the amount of chemical fiber grade titanium dioxide is between 30-60%. The particle size distribution should be uniform, the hue should meet the requirements, and the secondary thermal condensation should be low.

Four, spinning (polyester, spandex, acrylic, nylon, etc.)

Chemical fiber grade titanium dioxide is used in spinning, which mainly plays the role of extinction and toughening, among which some enterprises use non-grinding process and others use grinding process. The difference is whether titanium dioxide is sanded with its spinning raw material before mixing spinning. The non-grinding process requires chemical fiber grade titanium dioxide to have good dispersion, low secondary thermal condensation and uniform particle size distribution.
