01- What is DuPont fiber?

Dupont Sorona® is a new renewable fiber developed by the American chemical fiber giant DuPont.

Like regenerated cellulose fibers such as bamboo fiber, DuPont ™ Sorona® is a man-made fiber made from plants (corn), which is fermented from plant sugars through biotechnology to obtain the key raw material 1, 3-propylene glycol (PDO), and then combined with raw materials such as TPA, which is transformed by biotechnology. Its essence is a kind of chemical fiber, but some properties are better than natural fiber and traditional chemical fiber.

02-DuPont fiber characteristics

1, safe and harmless, sustainable environmental protection

While the PDO required for conventional synthetic fiber is derived from petroleum, the DuPont ™ Sorona® core PDO is derived from the plant starch glucose. The emergence of Sorona® fibers not only reduces the consumption of non-renewable resources such as oil, but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Fiber can be recycled, green environmental protection, natural harmless to the human body.

2, fluffy warm, not easy to harden

Unlike cotton, which tends to harden and become less elastic over time, DuPont ™ Sorona® is treated with the DuPont bio-velvet process, which has a texture close to down, soft and fluffy, which can retain more air in the quilt and has a warm effect close to down.

3. Smooth and crisp, comfortable and skin-friendly

Sorona® fiber is uniform and smooth, less impurities, when woven as fabric, the cloth surface is smooth, the fabric is delicate and smooth, light and comfortable, close to the skin.

4, easy to deform, easy to take care of

Traditional fabrics are prone to distortion after repeated washing. Sorona® fibers have a natural three-dimensional spiral structure, crisp and resilient, easy to deform after multiple washes, and quick to dry after washing.

03- Application of Dupont fiber
