01- What is DuPont fiber?

Dupont Sorona® is a new renewable fiber developed by the American chemical fiber giant DuPont.

Like regenerated cellulose fibers such as bamboo fiber, DuPont ™ Sorona® is a man-made fiber made from plants (corn), which is fermented from plant sugars through biotechnology to obtain the key raw material 1, 3-propylene glycol (PDO), and then combined with raw materials such as TPA, which is transformed by biotechnology. Its essence is a kind of chemical fiber, but some properties are better than natural fiber and traditional chemical fiber.

02-DuPont fiber characteristics

While the PDO required for conventional synthetic fiber is derived from petroleum, the DuPont ™ Sorona® core PDO is derived from the plant starch glucose.
