Inductance: signal line/shielding line or signal line/signal line: 1 μ H/m
SIL 2 Functional Safety Version
For applications that require functional safety certification, DMP 333 can provide SIL 2 versions that comply with IEC 61508/IEC 61511. This version has specific requirements for the power supply voltage range (14... 28 V DC) and some combination limitations (such as not being able to be selected simultaneously with an accuracy of 0.1%). The SIL version is applicable for pressure monitoring in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Other important specifications
Current consumption: maximum 25 mA for signal output current type; maximum 7 mA for voltage type
Weight: Approximately 140 grams
Installation position: arbitrary (but calibration is performed in a vertical position with the pressure interface facing downwards)
Working life: 100 million load cycles (applicable to hydraulic pulse conditions)
CE Compliance: EMC Directive 2014/30/EU; Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (Module A, only applicable to equipment with maximum overpressure>200 bar)
ATEX Directive: 2014/34/EU
Electrical connections and mechanical dimensions
DMP 333 provides multiple electrical connection methods to adapt to different installation environments:
Universal on-site shell (stainless steel 1.4404) with M20x1.5 cable gland (order code 880)
Other options available on demand: such as Bayonet MIL-C-26482 (10-6) connector (which will add 5 mm in length)
Cable output: Standard 2 m PVC cable (without air duct), allowed temperature -5... 70 ° C; other types and lengths can be provided as needed, including cables with air ducts (suitable for nominal pressure ≤ 160 bar range)
Mechanical dimensions (see dimension diagram in the manual for details): The transmitter is compact and suitable for installation on hydraulic blocks or pipelines with limited space. The pressure interface is made of stainless steel material and supports metric threads and other customized threads.
Typical application areas
According to the data manual, the preferred application areas for DMP 333 include:
Factory and Mechanical Engineering: Hydraulic Station Pressure Monitoring, Lubrication System.
Machine tool: hydraulic clamping, feed system pressure control.
Hydraulic press: measurement of master cylinder pressure and return pressure.
Injection molding machine: monitoring of injection pressure and mold locking pressure.
Handling equipment: lifting platform, forklift hydraulic system.
High altitude work platform: hydraulic pressure of boom.
Test bench: Performance testing of high-pressure hydraulic components.
Mobile hydraulic: hydraulic circuits for construction machinery and agricultural machinery.
Selection precautions
When choosing DMP 333, the following parameters need to be considered comprehensively:
Pressure range: 100/160/250/400/600 bar, gauge pressure or absolute pressure.
Accuracy requirements: 0.35% FSO (standard), 0.25% FSO (option 1), 0.1% FSO (option 2). Note that 0.1% accuracy cannot be combined with SIL versions.
Output signal: 2-wire system 4... 20 mA (standard), intrinsic safety 4... 20 mA, 3-wire system 0... 20 mA or 0... 10 V.
Explosion proof requirement: Is Ex ia certification (Zone 0/20) required.
Functional safety: Is SIL 2 certification required.
Electrical connections: cables (length, material, with or without ventilation pipes), M12 × 1.5 connectors, MIL connectors, on-site enclosures, etc.
Seal material: standard FKM; EPDM can be selected for low temperature or specific media (limited to ≤ 160 bar).
Medium temperature range: Confirm if it is within -40... 125 ° C.
Mechanical interface: Pressure interface thread specifications (metric, imperial, etc.).
Installation and usage suggestions
The installation direction of the transmitter during factory calibration is vertical (with the pressure interface facing downwards). If other directions are used in practical use, there may be slight zero offset due to the weight of the diaphragm or the hydrostatic pressure of the oil. This offset can be adjusted on-site through software or accepted (usually much smaller than the accuracy).
