Product Overview

Eaton 9PX Marine Ship specific UPS is a high-performance dual conversion online uninterruptible power supply system designed specifically for maritime and marine engineering environments, with power coverage ranging from 1500VA to 3000VA. It uses advanced power electronics technology and robust mechanical design to ensure pure and stable power supply for critical equipment in harsh ship environments.

9PX Marine has passed the DNV-GL classification society type certification and is equipped with coated circuit boards that can withstand harsh conditions such as high temperature, high humidity, and salt spray. It is an ideal power supply guarantee for ship navigation systems, communication systems, bridge equipment, and small automation systems.


Core Technology and Reliability Design

1. Dual conversion online topology structure

9PX Marine adopts true dual conversion online technology (VFI) to continuously perform AC-DC-AC dual conversion on the input power supply, completely isolating power quality issues such as voltage fluctuations, frequency drift, and harmonic interference in the power grid. Even in situations where the input power supply is extremely unstable, the output always maintains a pure sine wave voltage and frequency.

Internal configuration of static bypass ensures seamless switching of load to bypass power supply in case of UPS internal failure or overload, maintaining continuous system operation. In addition, an optional maintenance bypass is available to facilitate the replacement of UPS hosts without interrupting the load power supply, greatly improving the maintainability of the system.

2. Adaptability to maritime environment

The ship and marine engineering environment have put forward strict requirements for electronic equipment:

Coated circuit board: All circuit boards are protected by a three proof coating, effectively resisting the erosion of salt spray, moisture, mold, and corrosive gases.

Wide temperature operation capability: The designed working temperature range is 0 to 40 ° C, suitable for different temperature environments such as engine rooms and deck control rooms.

Anti vibration and impact: The structural design meets the mechanical strength requirements of ship equipment, ensuring stable operation during navigation vibrations.

3. DNV-GL type certification

9PX Marine is one of the few UPS products that has obtained DNV-GL type certification. This certification means that the product has passed strict ship equipment testing, complies with ship design and construction specifications, and can be directly used in the power systems of various ships and offshore platforms.


Efficient performance and energy-saving design

1. Power factor=1 (VA=W)

9PX Marine is the first UPS of its kind to achieve an output power factor of 1. This means:

The 1500VA model can provide 1500W active power

The 3000VA model can provide 3000W active power

Compared to traditional UPS, 9PX Marine can provide 11% more active power, allowing users to carry more servers or equipment with the same VA rating, especially suitable for loads with lower input power factors.

2. Efficient operation mode

Online mode efficiency: up to 92.5%, maintaining excellent energy efficiency even in dual conversion mode.

Efficient mode efficiency: up to 97.5%, suitable for scenarios with low requirements for power quality and pursuit of ultimate energy conservation, automatic switching ensures load safety.

3. Energy Star certification

9PX Marine meets the Energy Star certification standards in the United States, achieving the highest energy efficiency level under typical load conditions, significantly reducing electricity consumption and air conditioning cooling costs, in line with modern ships' pursuit of green energy conservation.

4. Energy monitoring and management

9PX Marine is equipped with a graphical LCD display screen that can display in real-time:

Input/output voltage, frequency

Load power (kW), power factor

Battery status and remaining time

Energy consumption (kWh) data

Users can monitor the energy consumption of each controlled socket group through LCD or Eaton Intelligent Power software, accurately grasp the electricity usage situation, and provide data support for energy optimization.

1. Graphic LCD display screen

High definition graphic LCD provides intuitive UPS status and measurement information, displaying all key parameters on one screen. Users can configure in detail through the menu, such as output voltage, frequency, battery parameters, alarm thresholds, etc.
