Replace the internal battery and EBM internal battery every 4 years (even if there are no fault alarms, to prevent accidental power outages caused by capacity decay).
Quick List for Replacing Old UPS
If you are using a discontinued or expired UPS (such as APC Smart UPS, Eaton 5115, Powerware 9125, etc.), the following checklist will help you confirm the replaceability of 9PX:
Load power: 9PX maximum 3000W, power factor 1, most old models 1500VA can be directly replaced.
Input plug: 9PX comes standard with IEC-C14 or C20. If the original socket is NEMA 5-15 or 5-20, the cable needs to be replaced or an adapter needs to be used.
Output voltage: 200/208/220/230/240V can be set in the LCD, compatible with global voltage standards.
Battery voltage: Pay attention to the difference between 48V/72V. Older UPS may use 24V or 96V, and in this case, all battery packs need to be replaced.
Monitoring compatibility: The RS232 protocol of 9PX is not exactly the same as Eaton's old model, but it can be used with USB or replaced with a smart card. Recommend using Eaton intelligent power software or direct SNMP.
Mechanical dimensions: 9PX has a height of 2U or 3U and a depth of 450-605mm, which is deeper than many older rack mounted UPS models. It is necessary to confirm whether the cabinet depth is sufficient (≥ 600mm).
