Product Overview

The Fire Sentry SS2 series is a globally outstanding multispectral digital photoelectric flame detector that utilizes leading UV/IR technology and has been successfully applied in numerous installation sites worldwide. This series of detectors can sense the radiation energy of ultraviolet (UV), visible light, and wideband infrared (IR) spectra, and can detect various types of open flames. It has a wide field of view and high sensitivity, while effectively avoiding false alarms.


Model and Features

SS2-A and SS2-AN

Multispectral detection: sensing ultraviolet, visible light, and WideBand IR ™。

Detection range: Can detect both hydrocarbon and non hydrocarbon fires.

Performance advantages: Wide field of view and day blindness, high sensitivity, with false alarm immunity, using a microprocessor based algorithm (FirePic) ™  And Tri Mode Plot ™), The working temperature range is wide, and the shell is explosion-proof. It has been verified in applications worldwide and is compatible with approved fire alarm panels.

SS2-AM and SS2-AML

Multispectral detection: equally sensitive to ultraviolet, visible light, and WideBand IR ™, Can detect both hydrocarbon and non hydrocarbon fires.

Application scenarios

SS2-A and SS2-AN: Petrochemical facilities and refineries, combined power plants, aircraft hangars, silane gas storage facilities, gas turbines and power plants, gas compressor stations, etc.

SS2-AM and SS2-AML: ammunition production, explosive production, manufacturing of other explosive materials, silane and hydrogen storage facilities, and special application scenarios.


Operation mode

Powered by a standard 24V DC power supply, it can be connected to approved fire alarm panels or standard PLCs.

After power on, a self check will be performed, and the fault relay will reset to display no faults. The front LED will flash every ten seconds to indicate that the power is on.

The microprocessor analyzes the continuous spectral data stream from the sensor array, activates the alarm relay upon alarm, and stores all pre fire spectral data in non-volatile memory, FirePic ™  The data can be used to speculate on the cause of the fire.

Can be connected to standard control panels and PLCs to initiate alarm and mitigation processes as needed.
