The LCA 200 supports multiple communication protocols including Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, and CANopen, making it compatible with most PLC and drive systems. The integrated Ethernet port allows for remote access and data logging. The unit includes a real-time clock and battery-backed memory for alarm and recipe storage. Configuration is performed via Lauer Configurator software, which provides a library of graphical objects, trend displays, and data acquisition tools. The panel also supports multi-language text display and user access control through password protection.
Mount the LCA 200 in a control cabinet with sufficient clearance for ventilation. Use the provided mounting clamps to secure the panel to the cutout. Ensure the front bezel is properly sealed to maintain IP65 protection. Connect the power supply using a shielded cable with a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm². Ground the unit via the designated terminal to avoid electromagnetic interference. All communication cables should be routed separately from power cables to reduce noise.
The panel is designed for continuous operation in industrial environments with moderate vibration and shock. It can withstand sinusoidal vibration up to 0.5 g (10–150 Hz) and shock up to 15 g (11 ms). The backlight has a typical lifetime of 50,000 hours at 25 °C. For optimal performance, avoid direct sunlight and ensure ambient temperature does not exceed 50 °C. The unit automatically adjusts brightness based on ambient light if the optional sensor is fitted.
Typical applications include machine tool control, packaging machinery, material handling, process monitoring, and building automation. The LCA 200 is also suitable for retrofitting older systems due to its versatile protocol support. Its compact size and robust design make it ideal for space-constrained installations where reliability is paramount.
The Lauer LCA 200 complies with CE and UL standards. It meets RoHS requirements for hazardous substance restriction. EMC performance is in accordance with EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4. The unit is also certified for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations when installed with appropriate barriers.
This panel is available with optional expansion modules for additional serial ports or fieldbus interfaces. Custom configurations can be ordered with specific memory sizes or pre-loaded application software. The standard model includes an Ethernet port and USB host ports for firmware updates and data transfer.
