Functional Features
The PCS600 supports basic HMI functions including button controls, numeric input/output displays, bar graphs, and alarm lists. It includes a built-in recipe manager that allows storing and recalling up to 100 parameter sets. Communication drivers cover Modbus RTU/TCP, Siemens S7-200, and Mitsubishi FX series. The panel can be programmed using Lauer Configurator Lite, which provides a simple drag-and-drop interface with a library of pre-defined objects.
The terminal can log up to 1,000 alarm entries and 5,000 data records to its internal memory or external USB drive. It also features a screen saver and adjustable backlight dimming. The Ethernet port enables remote access and allows firmware updates over the network. The USB host port can be used for project upload/download, data export, or connecting a keyboard.
Installation Guidelines
Mount the panel in a panel cutout using the supplied clips. Ensure the gasket is correctly placed to maintain IP65. Connect the 24 V DC power supply with a fused (0.5 A) circuit. Use shielded cables for RS485 and Ethernet; ground the shield at one end. The RS485 network requires termination resistors if multiple devices are present.
For software transfer, use the USB device port with a mini-USB cable. The USB host port supports standard flash drives. Ensure adequate ventilation around the rear of the unit; the panel is passively cooled.
Operating Conditions
This panel is designed for indoor use at temperatures from 0 to 45 °C. It can withstand vibration of 0.3 g (10–150 Hz) and shock of 5 g (11 ms). Backlight life is estimated at 30,000 hours.
Applications
Ideal for small conveyor systems, label printers, packaging counters, temperature monitoring stations, and simple process control. It is also used as a local display for variable frequency drives and soft starters.
Compliance and Certifications
CE certified, UL recognized, and RoHS compliant. Meets EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-3.
