Lauer PCS600FZ Operator Panel
The Lauer PCS600FZ is a ruggedized and feature-enhanced variant of the popular PCS600 operator panel series. It builds upon the standard model by offering a higher-brightness display, extended operating temperature range, and built-in support for additional fieldbus protocols. This makes it suitable for environments with challenging lighting conditions, temperature extremes, or where advanced connectivity is required, such as in outdoor installations, cold storage facilities, or mobile equipment.

Functional Features
In addition to the standard HMI features (graphical screens, alarms, recipes, data logging), the PCS600FZ includes enhanced graphics acceleration for smoother animations and faster screen transitions. It supports multi-language text with UTF-8 encoding, making it suitable for global applications. The integrated CANopen or Profibus DP options enable direct connection to fieldbus networks without external gateways.
The panel includes a web server for remote monitoring and diagnosis. It also supports FTP for file transfer and SNMP for network management. The USB host ports allow connection of a printer or external storage for report generation. The unit has a built-in diagnostic page showing system health, memory usage, and communication status.
Configuration is done with Lauer Configurator Pro, which provides advanced scripting capabilities and support for custom libraries.
Installation Guidelines
Installation is similar to the standard PCS600; however, ensure that the rear clearance is at least 60 mm for the optional fieldbus modules. For CANopen, use a twisted-pair shielded cable with 120 Ω termination. For Profibus, follow standard wiring rules with a terminated bus. Connect the power supply with a 1 A fuse.
The panel's higher brightness may generate additional heat; ensure ambient temperature does not exceed 55 °C. If mounted in a sealed enclosure, consider forced ventilation.
Operating Conditions
The PCS600FZ operates reliably in temperatures from -10 to 55 °C and can withstand humidity up to 95 %. Vibration resistance is 0.5 g (10–150 Hz) and shock 10 g (11 ms). The high-brightness backlight has a life of 50,000 hours.
Applications
This panel is well-suited for outdoor kiosks, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, refrigerated warehouses, and any application where standard displays are insufficient. It is also used in railway and automotive test environments.
