The Lauer Systeme LCA285 (also designated LCA 285.9) is a robust alphanumeric text display terminal for industrial operator interface. It provides a large, clear LCD screen and a tactile keypad, enabling operators to view process data, enter parameters, and acknowledge alarms. The unit operates on a 24 V DC supply and is designed for panel mounting in control cabinets.
The terminal features a 4‑line by 20‑character LCD with LED backlight and adjustable contrast. The keypad includes 20 keys: numeric block (0‑9), decimal, sign, arrows, Enter, Escape, and three function keys (F1‑F3). Keys are backlit and rated for 500,000 operations. Front overlay IP65.
Two serial ports: RS‑232 (9‑pin) and RS‑485 (screw terminal). Baud rates up to 115200. Supports Modbus RTU (master/slave), LAUER LCA protocol, and ASCII transparent.
256 KB flash stores up to 128 screens, 200 internal registers, and 64 alarms. Battery‑backed RTC. Configured with LAUER LCA‑Config software.
