The 1452-25M provides 25 relay outputs in a compact form factor, saving panel space compared to using multiple smaller modules. Each relay is individually replaceable (socketed) for easy maintenance. The contacts are silver alloy with gold flash for reliable switching of low-level signals as well as power loads. The module includes built-in snubber circuits (RC suppression) across the contacts to extend relay life when switching inductive loads.
The module can be controlled via a standard backplane bus (e.g., Modbus, Profibus) or directly via parallel input signals. Individual LED indicators provide visual confirmation of each relay's energized state. The module also features a power status LED and a fault LED that indicates communication loss or internal error. An optional watchdog function can be configured to set outputs to a predefined safe state upon loss of communication.
This relay output module is suitable for controlling contactors, solenoid valves, motor starters, indicator lamps, and alarm systems in factory automation, building automation, and process control. Its high channel density makes it ideal for applications such as conveyor control, packaging machinery, and HVAC systems.
