Steady development - A number of industrial policies have been introduced to support the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry

In 2022, in order to implement the deployment requirements of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Outline of 2035 Vision Goals, and accelerate the implementation of major strategies such as making China a maritime power, a transportation power, and a shipbuilding power, relevant state departments and local governments have successively issued relevant planning policy documents to accelerate the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry.

In the second quarter of 2022, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic in some domestic areas, the security and stability of the industrial chain and supply chain in key shipbuilding gathering areas were seriously impacted. Shipping enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, mainly in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, are the most affected, and the production and operation of shipping enterprises in Liaoning and Shandong are also greatly affected. Through questionnaires, the China Shipping Association learned about the outstanding problems caused by the epidemic, such as the shortage of imported goods in the port of Shanghai, the insufficient supply of supporting materials, and the poor flow of personnel. The China Shipping Association has repeatedly reported the relevant situation to the relevant government departments to reflect the difficulties and blocked points. Under the active coordination and solution of government departments at all levels, as of the end of May, a total of more than 700 imported goods from 21 enterprises have been solved, the supply of various supporting materials in 13 enterprises is insufficient and the transportation is not smooth, and 10 enterprises have restrictions on the movement of suppliers, engineers, shipowners and crew. Under the strong guidance and coordination of government departments at all levels, the blocking points and difficulties that hinder the normal production of China's shipbuilding industry enterprises have been basically alleviated, and the production schedule of major shipbuilding bases has been comprehensively accelerated. In June, China's shipbuilding industry took the lead in coming out of the trough, and new orders for ships in June reached 4.76 million deadweight tons, a sharp increase of 107% compared with the previous month. Shipbuilding completed 4.22 million deadweight tons, an increase of 64.2% month-on-month, the best level in a single month in nearly two years. China's shipbuilding industry has overcome the adverse effects and withstood the test, fully reflecting the resilience of industrial development.

Combat high temperature - multi-pronged to ensure smooth production and ensure the health of employees

On December 22, China State Shipbuilding Group delivered 209 ships with a total of 14.0614 million deadweight tons, completing the delivery task in 2022 ahead of schedule. China State Shipbuilding Group also maintains the world's leading level of new orders and hand-held orders.

On December 23, Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry successfully completed the 2022 annual ship construction delivery task. The company's annual on-time delivery rate of products and the on-time realization rate of main nodes remain double 100%.

On December 18, two 210,000 tons of dual-fuel powered bulk carriers of New Era Shipbuilding sailed out of the dock one after another, and the launch node was successfully realized, marking the perfect end of the company's annual launch of 23 ships with a total of 3.664 million deadweight tons.

On December 15, two 82,000 ton bulk carriers built by Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding for Yangtze River Shipping were delivered smoothly. So far, Yangzi Mitsui has successfully completed the completion of this year's delivery target.

Grab orders - a historic breakthrough in the competitiveness of large LNG carriers

In 2022, China's shipping enterprises firmly seize the new opportunities of the explosive growth of the global demand for large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, and the joint efforts of central and private shipping enterprises have formed the "Corps" of large LNG carrier final assembly and construction enterprises such as Hudong Zhonghua, Big Ship Heavy Industry, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, China Merchants Industry and Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding. This year, China's new orders for large LNG carriers accounted for about 30% of the global total, a record high.

Strong brand - ship enterprise won a number of national awards

In 2022, China's shipping enterprises will continue to strengthen quality construction, increase Chinese brand publicity and promotion efforts, and establish a good image of Chinese shipbuilding. Three companies and six projects represented by Jiangsu XinYangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and the All-Sea manned submersible Striver have been selected for the China Industrial Award, known as the "China Industrial Oscar" award, which is the highest award in China's industrial field approved by The State Council. China State Shipbuilding Group was awarded the top ten "National heavyweight" brands

Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding's "Intelligent sheet Workshop for Large Cruise Ship" and Chongqing Hongjiang's "Key Technologies and Applications for Advanced Manufacturing of Ship Power Supporting System" were selected as "Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances in China's Intelligent Manufacturing in 2022".

China Ship Scientific Research Center "Struggle" all-sea manned submersible won the "Gold Medal of China Excellent Industrial Design Award 2022", and Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute won the first batch of "Innovative Design Research Institute of China Industrial Design Association" title.

Make up for weaknesses - the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain has been significantly improved

In 2022, China's shipfitting enterprises strive to overcome the impact of the epidemic, continuously improve the competitiveness of shipfitting products, and continue to improve the loading rate of domestic supporting equipment such as Marine main engines, Marine boilers, Marine cranes, and Marine gas supply systems (FGSS), and the stability of the industry chain and supply chain has been significantly improved. Structural adjustment - high-end ship products and new Marine engineering equipment are concentrated

The first domestically made large cruise ship has achieved a major node of the main power generation motor vehicle project, and the construction of the second domestically made large cruise ship has started smoothly, and China's large cruise ship has entered the era of "two-wheel" construction.
