Channel A: DIMM1 (J1) and DIMM2 (J2)
Channel B: DIMM3 (J3) and DIMM4 (J4)
To achieve dual channel mode, the total capacity of Channel A must be equal to the total capacity of Channel B (J1+J2=J3+J4), and it is recommended to use memory modules of the same brand, model, and CL delay. Manual recommendation: "For maximum compatibility, install memory modules with the same brand, model, and/or rating
When installing the memory, first open the white buckles at both ends of the slot outward, align the memory gap (foolproof design), and insert vertically with force until the buckles automatically lock. If encountering resistance, do not force it, aim again and try again.

Chapter 3: Key Jumper Configuration and Interface Definition
3.1 Clearing CMOS (JP7)
When BIOS settings are incorrect and unable to start, use JP7 jumper to clear RTC RAM data:
Shut down and unplug the power cord
Remove the onboard button battery
Move the jump cap from 1-2 (Normal) to 2-3 (Clear CMOS) and hold for about 10 seconds
Restore the jump cap to 1-2, reinstall the battery, and turn on the power
Enter BIOS to reset time/date and other parameters
3.2 Chassis Intrusion Detection (JP5) and Temperature Sensor (JP8)
JP5 (Chassis Intrusion): Connect the chassis limit switch sensor to detect if the chassis is opened. Pin 1 is GND, Pin 2 is the CASEOPEN # signal.
JP8 (Temperature Sensor): Connect an external thermal sensor to monitor the ambient temperature of the system. Pin 1 is TMPIN (Thermistor Voltage), and Pin 2 is GND.
3.3 Key precautions for power connection
NuPRO-965 needs to be connected to CN7 (ATX 12V 4-pin power interface), and the manual is labeled with IMPORTANT: "Do not forget to connect the 4-pin power plug to this connector. Otherwise, the system will not turn on." This interface provides the+12V auxiliary power required by the CPU. If the connection is missed, the system will be completely unable to power on.
The system panel connector (CN14) integrates power indicator light, hard disk indicator light, reset button, power switch, and buzzer signal. Special attention:
Connect the Power Button (15th pin POWERBT) and GND (14th pin) to the chassis power button.
The HDD LED (pin 18) is connected to the hard drive indicator light, and pin 19 provides a+3.3V pull-up power supply.
Reset Button (12th pin RESETBT) is connected to the reset button.
Chapter 4: BIOS Deep Configuration - From Basic to Advanced Tuning
NuPRO-965 uses AMI BIOS (version 08.00.14), press the "Del" key to enter the settings interface when booting up. The following are key configuration items that directly affect system stability and functional integrity.
4.1 IDE/SATA Configuration (Advanced → IDE Configuration)
SATA # 1/2 Configuration: Optional Disabled, Compatible, Enhanced.
Compatible mode: The SATA channel is mapped to a traditional IDE channel, suitable for installing older systems such as Windows XP.
Enhanced mode: SATA has an independent IDE channel, which maximizes SATA 3Gb/s performance.
Configuration SATA # 1 as: Optional IDE or AHCI mode. AHCI mode supports NCQ (local command queue) and hot plugging, recommended for Windows 7 and above systems. Attention: If you switch to AHCI after installing the operating system in IDE mode, it will result in a blue screen (0x7B), and you need to modify the registry or reinstall the system in advance.
JMicron 36x ATA Controller: This option is only available on the NuPRO-965LV model and controls the onboard PCIe to IDE controller. If using IDE devices (such as old optical drives, hard drives), they need to be set to Enabled.
4.2 Super I/O Configuration (Advanced → Super IO Configuration)
Serial Port1/2 Address: Set the COM port I/O address and IRQ. Common configurations: 3F8/IRQ4 (COM1), 2F8/IRQ3 (COM2). If there is a conflict between serial devices, it can be changed to 3E8/IRQ4 or 2E8/IRQ3.
Parallel Port Mode: Supports Normal, EPP, ECP, EPP+ECP. ECP mode uses DMA protocol, with a data transfer rate of up to 2.5 Mbps.
Parallel Port IRQ: usually set to IRQ7 (I/O address 378H is standard configuration).
4.3 Hardware Health Monitoring (Advanced → Hardware Health Configuration)
This page displays real-time CPU temperature, system temperature, fan speed, and various voltages (CPU Core, DDR2,+3.3V,+5V,+12V,+5USB, VBAT). If the temperature rises abnormally, check the radiator dust, fan operation status, and chassis air duct. The H/W Health Function needs to be set to Enabled to enable monitoring.
4.4 APM Power Management Configuration (Advanced → APM Configuration)
Power Management/APM: Supports advanced power management when enabled.
Video Power Down Mode and Hard Disk Power Down Mode: Set the way for the monitor/hard disk to enter power-saving mode (Suspend/Disable).
Suspend Time Out: The idle waiting time for the system to enter suspend mode (can be set to 1-60 minutes or disabled).
Power Button Mode:
On/Off: Press the power button to immediately shut down.
Suspend: Short press (<4 seconds) to enter suspend mode, long press (>4 seconds) to force shutdown.
Restore on AC Power Loss: Set the behavior after mains power is restored - Power On, Power Off, Last State. For unmanned sites, it is recommended to set it to Power On.
