Functional Features
The VT215B.II supports Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus DP (optional), and CANopen. It includes a built-in web server for remote monitoring and diagnostics. The panel can store up to 5,000 alarm entries and 20,000 data log records. The configuration software, Lauer Configurator Pro, offers advanced graphics, trending, and data acquisition features. The panel also supports recipe management and multi-language text.
Additional features include screen saver, adjustable touch sensitivity, and a watchdog timer for automatic reset. The USB ports allow connection of external storage or peripherals. The Ethernet port supports DHCP and static IP addressing.
Installation Guidelines
Mount the panel in a panel cutout using the spring clips. Ensure the gasket provides a tight seal. Connect the power supply with a 1 A fuse. Use shielded cables for serial and Ethernet; ground the shield at one end. For RS485, terminate with 120 Ω resistors. Provide adequate clearance behind the panel for cables.
Operating Conditions
This panel operates at 0–50 °C, with vibration 0.5 g (10–150 Hz) and shock 10 g (11 ms). Backlight life is 50,000 hours.
