Separation membrane technology can achieve separation under the condition of maintaining the original biological system environment, and can efficiently concentrate and enrich products, effectively remove impurities, while convenient operation, compact structure, low energy consumption, simplified process, no secondary pollution, and no need to add chemicals. It has been widely used in the production process of biomedicine, food and beverage, chemical and petrochemical industries, environmental protection water treatment, gas purification, water purification and other industries.

With national research platforms such as the State Key Laboratory of Materials Chemical Engineering and the National Special Separation Membrane Engineering Technology Research Center, focusing on the major needs in the fields of water resources, energy, environment, and upgrading of traditional industries, It is engaged in the development of high-performance membrane materials such as inorganic ceramic membrane, pervaporation membrane, gas separation membrane, organic membrane, organic inorganic composite membrane, and the development of membrane integration technology and complete sets of equipment such as membrane reactor, wastewater recycling, tail gas purification, etc., which belongs to the strategic emerging industry supported by the State.

The Institute has always adhered to the market orientation of technological innovation, adhering to the development concept of "close to science and engineering", and built a five-part innovation system of "talent training, scientific research, service to society, base construction and industry cultivation", carrying out original basic research, developing disruptive technologies, and creating major engineering applications. Create a film industry technology innovation center through "science to technology, technology to product". The Institute implements the innovation model of "one institution, two systems, unified management", relies on the engineering center of the university mechanism, sets up PI academic team, bases on basic original research, and continuously produces high-level original achievements. Relying on the market mechanism of membrane materials institute and membrane application institute, set up a start-up team, engage in the "secondary development" of original achievements, set up a technology transfer team, and realize the transfer of technology appreciation.

Team profile

The Institute attaches great importance to team building and talent training, and has formed an internationally influential research team of high-level talents such as academicians, Jie Qing, and 973 chief scientists, selected as the innovation group of the National Foundation Committee, the innovation team of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the innovation team of the Ministry of Education, as well as the excellent Discipline echelon of Jiangsu Province, Qinglan Engineering Innovation Team, and 333 Engineering Excellent team. The research and development site covers an area of 13,800 square meters, the total value of instruments and equipment is more than 61 million yuan, and the membrane material microstructure and macro performance test platform, pilot scale platform, and engineering experiment platform are built.

Research projects and products

1, new ceramic membrane and products, mainly used in chemical, biological medicine, food and beverage, environmental protection and other related materials separation.

2, hollow fiber molecular sieve membrane and products, mainly used for organic solvent dehydration and high-purity solvent product production and recovery.

3, PDMS film and products, mainly used for VOCs processing and recycling.

4, gas dust removal film and products, mainly used in coal-fired boilers, steel mills, cement plants and other dust removal and powder product recovery.

5, PVDF ultrafiltration membrane and products, mainly used in paper, coal mine, chemical, metallurgy, mining and other industries of water reuse projects, as well as power plants, waterworks, desalination pretreatment and other industries of water purification projects.

6, high-performance composite nanofiltration membrane and products, mainly used for material separation and water treatment of nanofiltration engineering and water purification equipment.

7, Biosensor analyzer, mainly used in medical inspection, food analysis, environmental monitoring and other fields, to achieve rapid quantitative detection of glucose, fructose, sucrose, lactic acid, glutamic acid.
