80 years of wind and rain, the inheritance and responsibility of "red medicine enterprises"

In 1943, in a few simple civilian houses, the predecessor of our Party and our army's first pharmaceutical factory was born. After that, the pharmaceutical factory with high hopes was named "Xinhua", which means "new China will replace old China".

Eighty years of changes, the new era of China has been proud of the world. 80 years of wind and rain, along the way, Xinhua Pharmaceutical has also created many first, shaped countless miracles, witness and promote the development of new China's pharmaceutical industry.

Whether it is a pharmaceutical team of 18 people at the beginning, or a modern pharmaceutical company with annual revenue of 7.5 billion yuan today; Whether in the period of the Anti-Japanese War, or in the face of the "5.12 earthquake" and the new coronavirus epidemic, Xinhua Pharmaceutical has always put the life and health of the people in the first place, and has practiced the responsibility and responsibility of a "red drug company".

01 Birth, and struggle for New China

At the beginning of its establishment, Xinhua Pharmaceutical was placed on high hopes.

1943 was the key period of the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese invaders to the Eighth Route Army was completely blocked, the supply lines to the anti-Japanese base in Jiaodong were all cut off, military supplies and medical equipment shortage, the establishment of the Eighth Route Army's own medicine and medical equipment production organization is imminent.

In November of that year, 18 soldiers of the Eighth Route Army who had a certain medical knowledge base were ordered to form a pharmaceutical group in Muping County to develop and produce drugs. After that, the pharmaceutical team was relocated several times, the personnel continued to expand, the production scale also continued to expand, and gradually grew into Xinhua Pharmaceutical Factory, which made a non-negligible contribution to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the War of liberation.

In that difficult war period, Xinhua Pharmaceutical broke through many difficulties and firmly grew.

In 1945, tablets were produced by hand tablet press, and in 1946, injections began to be produced. Xinhua Pharmaceutical became the only pharmaceutical factory founded by our Party at that time that could produce preparations, meeting more than 60% of the military needs of the Jiaodong Military Region for drugs, medical equipment and health materials.

 Xinhua Pharmaceutical, whose production targets shifted from military to civilian, planted the seeds of the pharmaceutical industry in Shandong, only to have time for it to grow into a towering tree.

In the 1950s, the Central Ministry of Chemical Industry determined that Xinhua Pharmaceutical Factory to antipyretic and analgesic drugs as the development direction, Xinhua Pharmaceutical became the national antipyretic and analgesic drugs production base, which later became the world's important antipyretic and analgesic drugs production and export base.

In 1950, Xinhua Pharmaceutical successfully developed antimony sodium gluconate and put out kala-azar in one fell fell. In 1953, the first glass-lined reaction tank in New China was developed. In 1955, the first large-scale chemical synthetic raw material workshop in China was built, with an annual output of 100 tons of finaxetine workshop. In 1963, the annual production capacity of 100 tons of Anaijin workshop was completed and put into operation; In 1985, "Xinhua" brand piperidol tablets, as a new chemical synthetic antibiotic of chloranone exclusively produced in China, filled the gap in domestic medicine...... Numerous firsts have witnessed the growth of Xinhua Pharmaceutical.

Xinhua Pharmaceutical has also sent a large number of cadres and technical personnel to help build large national backbone pharmaceutical enterprises such as North China Pharmaceutical and Northwest Second Synthetic Pharmaceutical, laying the foundation for the development of China's chemical and pharmaceutical industry and creating a new era of China's chemical and pharmaceutical industrialization.

Today, Xinhua Pharmaceutical has a number of product lines such as pharmaceutical intermediates, high-quality apis, high-end preparations to commercial sectors, with a number of domestic exclusive varieties, a number of leading varieties in the world's forefront, of which the annual production capacity of apis has reached 50,000 tons, supporting intermediates capacity of 500,000 tons, annual revenue of more than 7.5 billion yuan.

02 Inheritance, all for the people

From its establishment to development, Xinhua Pharmaceutical, which inherits the red gene, has always adhered to a belief - "Everything is for the people". In order to achieve this goal and practice the mission of "protecting health and benefiting society", Xinhua Pharmaceutical is even willing to go against the profit "instinct" of enterprise development and sacrifice vital interests.

In New China Pharmaceutical, there is not only no profit from sales, but even to take money in the drug, this is the exclusive product of New China Pharmaceutical acetamide injection. Acetamide injection is a special antidote for poisoning such as organic fluorine insecticide and rodenticide fluoroacetamide. Because of its short shelf life and few uses, this drug not only has no sales profit, but even loses money.
