The PanelView Plus 2711P series covers two major sub series: PanelView Plus (Standard Edition) and PanelView Plus CE. The core difference between the two lies in the content of the internal CompactFlash: the standard version comes pre installed with the FactoryTalk View ME runtime environment; The CE version includes the Windows CE. NET operating system, IE browser, ActiveX support, and the ability to run third-party C++applications.

Mechanical installation and environmental requirements

2.1 Hole size and gap

2.2 Installation in Hazardous Areas (Class I, Division 2/Zone 2)

When terminal labeling is applicable to hazardous locations, it is necessary to comply with:

The ambient temperature does not exceed 55 ° C (temperature code T4).

The peripheral devices of USB ports must meet non flammable circuit parameters: Vmax ≥ VOC (5.25V), Imax ≥ Isc (1.68A), Ci+Ccable ≤ Ca (Ca is 10 μ F or 3.5 μ H, depending on the group).

It is strictly prohibited to plug or unplug communication cables or USB devices while they are live, as this may result in arcing and explosion.

2.3 Outdoor High Brightness Display Screen (1250 High Brightness Type, 2711P-RDT12H)

Direct sunlight can accelerate the aging of plastic parts and LCD attenuation. It is recommended to install anti glare protective film (2711P-RGT12) and sunshade (2711P-RVT12).

Built in temperature sensor: When the temperature inside the cabinet exceeds 55 ° C, the backlight automatically reduces intensity to protect the display screen.

Avoid installing terminals on cabinets facing south (or north in the southern hemisphere) or west to reduce solar heat load.

Mandatory requirements for power wiring and grounding

3.1 DC power supply wiring

Voltage range: 18-30V DC (400/600), 18-32V DC (700-1500)

Power consumption: 400/600 maximum 25W; 700-1500 maximum 70W (typical 39W)

Terminal torque: 0.45-0.56 N · m (400/600); 0.56 N · m (700-1500 power terminal)

Grounding: The DC power supply must be connected to the functional grounding (Earth/Ground) terminal. This terminal is connected to the internal DC circuit for noise suppression and CE compliance. Grounding wire specifications: 14-12 AWG (400/600), 14-10 AWG (700-1500), torque 1.13-1.36 N · m.

Danger warning: If two DC power sources (V1 and V2) are used for redundancy, the controller will automatically select the higher voltage power supply. The two power sources must be grounded together, otherwise it may cause damage to the equipment due to the grounding loop. The C terminal is interconnected internally and cannot be connected to ground of different potentials.
