EATON XV-303/XV-313 series industrial multi touch HMI display

Introduction: The New Benchmark of Industrial Human Computer Interface

In the wave of Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing, the Human Machine Interface (HMI) serves as a bridge between operators and machines, and its interactive experience and system performance directly affect production efficiency and operational safety. The XV300 series multi touch display screen launched by Eaton brings a new operating experience to the field of industrial automation with its modern design concept, powerful hardware platform, and rich communication interfaces.

The XV300 series includes two models, XV-303 (front panel installation) and XV-313 (rear installation), covering three widescreen sizes of 7.0 inches, 10.1 inches, and 15.6 inches. This series of products adopts industrial grade high-resolution display screens and capacitive multi touch technology (PCT), combined with precise and intuitive gesture operation interfaces, enabling operators to quickly get started. Its excellent system performance is equipped with a powerful graphics processing unit, creating a modern interactive interface for users.

The compact and stylish design, coupled with sturdy and durable anti glare glass panels, makes the XV300 series an ideal choice for harsh industrial environments. Whether as a pure visualization terminal or an integrated PLC function operation control device, XV300 can meet various needs of modern machine and equipment manufacturing.


Core features and technological advantages

2.1 Capacitive Multi Touch Technology (PCT)

The XV300 series adopts Projected Capacitive Touch technology, which has the following significant advantages compared to traditional resistive touch screens:

Multi touch support: Supports gesture operations such as zooming, sliding, rotating, etc., improving operational efficiency and user experience

High sensitivity: can accurately respond even when wearing gloves or in humid environments

Durability: The surface is made of anti glare tempered glass, which is scratch resistant, easy to clean, and suitable for frequent operation scenarios

Optical performance: High transmittance ensures clear and sharp display effect

2.2 Powerful hardware platform

All XV300 devices are equipped with an 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, featuring 1 GB of internal memory (512 MB RAM+1 GB SLC flash) and 128 kB of non-volatile data storage. This hardware configuration ensures smooth interface response and reliable data processing capabilities. The device supports expanding storage space through SD/SDHC cards to meet the needs of applications and data recording.

2.3 Fanless heat dissipation design

XV300 adopts passive cooling technology based on natural convection, which completely eliminates the need for fans. This not only eliminates the risk of shutdown caused by fan failure, but also makes the equipment suitable for environments with high dust or noise sensitivity. There are no movable mechanical components inside the equipment, which further improves the reliability of long-term operation.

2.4 Rich communication interfaces

The XV300 series comes standard with multiple communication interfaces to meet the diverse connectivity needs of the industrial automation field

Ethernet port: 10/100 Mbit/s RJ45 interface, available in single or dual port versions

USB interface: 1 USB Host (Type A) and 1 USB Device (Type B), both supporting USB 2.0

Serial interfaces: RS-232 (COM1) and RS-485 (COM2), used to connect PLC or other controllers

CAN interface: Supports protocols such as CANopen and J1939, suitable for mobile devices and industrial fieldbus applications

2.5 Multiple installation methods

According to different application scenarios, XV300 provides two installation methods:

XV-303 front panel installation: The device is inserted from the front of the control cabinet and secured with the accompanying installation clamp, suitable for standard cabinet openings

XV-313 Rear Installation: The equipment is installed from the rear of the control cabinet, with the front panel flush with the surface of the control cabinet, achieving a more compact visual effect and suitable for applications with high aesthetic requirements

3.1 Model Code Analysis

The XV300 series order number contains rich information, making it easy for users to accurately select according to their needs:

Format: XV-3xx-y-zzz-A00-2x

3xx: 303 (front panel installation) or 313 (rear installation)

Yy: 70 (7.0 inches), 10 (10.1 inches), or 15 (15.6 inches)

Zzz: B00 (basic interface configuration) or C00 (basic interface+second Ethernet port)

A00: Standard version (for XV-313, A00 corresponds to an installation panel thickness of 1.5mm, A11 corresponds to 2.0mm)

2x: 2B (including GALILEO visualization software license) or 2C (including visualization+CoDeSys PLC software license)
