Description
Electrical 1SBL351201R3000 A50-40-00 Auxiliary Contactor

ABB Electrical 1SBL351201R3000 A50-40-00 Auxiliary Contactor

Basic Introduction

ABB Electrical 1SBL351201R3000 A50 - 40 - 00 Auxiliary Contactor is an auxiliary contactor manufactured by ABB. It plays an auxiliary role in the electrical control system and is mainly used to extend the function of the main contactor or to realise some auxiliary control logic.

Functional features

Auxiliary control extension

Provides additional control contacts to the electrical system. These contacts can be used to achieve a variety of functions, for example, in the motor control circuit, in addition to the main contactor to control the main power supply of the motor, the contacts of this auxiliary contactor can be used to control the auxiliary equipment of the motor, such as cooling fan, lubrication system, etc.. It can also be used to construct complex control logic, such as realising sequential starting and stopping of the motor, or interlocking control with other devices.

Signal feedback and monitoring function

It can feedback its own status information to the control system, such as the contactor's suction and release status. This is very important for system monitoring and fault diagnosis. For example, in an automated production line, by monitoring the status of auxiliary contactors, it is possible to detect abnormalities in the operation of the equipment, such as contactors sticking or not being able to close properly, so as to trigger the alarm system or take appropriate troubleshooting measures.

Flexibility of Multi-Contact Configuration

Usually there are multiple contacts, including normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts. These contacts can be flexibly combined and configured according to specific control requirements. For example, in a lighting control system, the normally open contacts can be used to control a group of lamps and lanterns, and the normally closed contacts can be used to cut off the power supply of other non-critical lighting equipment in case of emergency, so as to achieve emergency lighting control.

Compatibility and versatility

It has good compatibility with other ABB electrical products as well as many general-purpose electrical devices. It can be easily integrated into an electrical control system with devices such as main contactors, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), relays, sensors and actuators, which work together to complete complex control tasks. For example, in an industrial automation control system, it can be used in conjunction with ABB's main contactors, as well as with other brands of PLCs for communication and collaborative control.

Technical Parameters

Electrical parameters

Rated voltage: This includes the control coil voltage and the contact voltage. The control coil voltage is the voltage at which the contactor operates, and the model may have a specific voltage rating (e.g. common AC or DC voltage ratings), while the contact voltage rating determines the range of load voltages it is able to safely control, and generally covers a wide range of commonly used voltage ratings to suit different application scenarios.

Current rating: The control coil current and contact current are the key parameters. The contact current rating determines the size of the load it can control. For example, the contact current rating of this auxiliary contactor may be a certain value (e.g. 40A), which limits the power range of the equipment it can drive and ensures that it can work within a safe current range to prevent contact overload damage.

Insulation performance: It has good insulation resistance and voltage resistance, and complies with the relevant electrical standards. Insulation resistance ensures electrical isolation between different conductive parts, and voltage resistance ensures that breakdowns and other failures do not occur in high voltage environments, guaranteeing the safety and reliability of the equipment.

Mechanical parameters

Size and mounting: There are specific external dimensions, generally designed for easy installation in electrical control cabinets or equipment in the form of internal, may be mounted using rail mounting, screws and other mounting methods. Suitable mounting ensures that the contactor is robust and reliable during operation and is easy to install, maintain and replace.

Mechanical and electrical life: Mechanical life is the number of operations that the contactor can withstand under normal mechanical operating conditions, while electrical life is the number of times it can operate normally under specified electrical loading conditions. These two parameters reflect the durability of the auxiliary contactor, e.g. the model may have a high mechanical life and electrical life to meet the requirements of frequent use over a long period of time.

Areas of application

Industrial automation

Widely used in various industrial automation equipment, such as automated production lines, machine tools, injection moulding machines, packaging machines, etc. In automated production lines, it is used to control the motor and its ancillary equipment to work together to achieve the sequential start, stop and fault protection of the equipment and other functions; in machine tool control, the auxiliary contactor can be used with the main contactor to control the operation of the knife holder motor, cooling pump motor and other equipment.

Building Electrical System

There are important applications in the lift control system and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system of buildings. In the lift control system, it is used to control the lighting, ventilation and other ancillary equipment in the lift car, and at the same time provide signal feedback for lift safety monitoring; in the HVAC system, the auxiliary contactor can control the operation of the auxiliary equipment of the air conditioning unit (e.g., condensate pumps, fans, etc.), and realise the system's interlocking control.
