DESCRIPTION
ABB SPAD 346 C differential relay is a power protection device with comprehensive functions, stable performance and flexible configuration. It can effectively protect the safe operation of power equipment and systems, and improve the stability and reliability of power systems.
Main functions
Winding short-circuit and turn-to-turn fault protection: Provides winding short-circuit and turn-to-turn fault protection for double-winding transformers and generator-transformer installations, ensuring that the equipment can be switched off in time to prevent damage in the event of a fault.
Earth fault protection: Provides earth fault protection for transformer windings on the HV and LV sides according to the required principles, including the principle of stabilising differential currents, the principle of high impedance, the principle of calculating or measuring residual currents or the principle of neutral current.
Overcurrent protection: provide three levels of overcurrent protection for power transformers and generators, as well as two levels of backup earth fault protection, to ensure that timely measures can be taken in case of abnormal current to protect equipment safety.

Harmonic suppression: Blocking according to the ratio of the second harmonic and fundamental components of the differential current prevents unnecessary action during transformer inrush current. At the same time, blocking based on the ratio of the fifth harmonic to the fundamental component of the differential current prevents unwanted operation in the event of transformer overexcitation.
Flexible configuration: features five programmable external control inputs for displaying and relaying alarm and trip signals from gas relays, oil temperature sensors and other transformer auxiliary equipment sensors. In addition, four tripping and four signalling relay outputs are provided to facilitate user configuration according to actual requirements.
Strong anti-interference ability: integrated interference recorder function, which can record current and digital signals. At the same time, it has high anti-electrical and electromagnetic interference ability and can operate stably in harsh industrial environments.
