5. External keyboard interface
Some models, such as ECT-16 and ELT-16, support external ET-F/AT-F keyboards for easy operation in harsh environments.
Battery replacement and data retention
When the FAILT/FLT indicator light on the panel flashes or the system menu displays "Battery LOW", the lithium battery (CR2430) needs to be replaced. The operation steps are as follows:
Turn off the power;
Loosen the screws that secure the back cover;
Remove the battery holder and replace the battery with a new one;
Reassemble and power on to confirm that the battery status has returned to normal.
Attention: Replacing the battery may result in the loss of event records and recipe data stored in RAM. It is recommended to backup in advance.
Keyboard and touch screen operation instructions
The UniOP panel provides multiple operating modes, including physical buttons, touch screen, and external keyboard.
Directional keys and Enter key: used for menu navigation and data input.
System keys: such as CLEAR, ENTER, etc. Some functions can be activated by long pressing for 2 seconds.
Touch screen: Resistive technology, supporting finger or stylus operation. When data input is required, the system automatically pops up a numeric keypad.
Some models, such as ECT-16, do not have physical buttons and need to be triggered simultaneously on both sides of the touch screen to enter configuration mode.

Debugging and calibration after installation
1. Enter configuration mode
Standard method: After shutting down, press and hold any three keys (or the left and right sides of the touch screen) until the screen displays "Configuration Mode".
2. Touch screen calibration
If the touch is offset, calibration is required:
Standard mode: Long press the CLEAR key on the configuration interface, then click on the symbols in the four corners of the screen in sequence until complete.
Emergency mode: After turning on, click on the center of the screen at approximately 1-second intervals to enter the calibration program and follow the standard steps.
Safety regulations and precautions
No live operation: Power must be turned off before disassembling the back cover or plugging in modules.
Anti static measures: Operators must release static electricity before coming into contact with internal circuits.
Avoid using tools to operate the touch screen: to avoid damaging the surface film.
Emergency stop function: The panel must not be directly used to control unprotected actuators, and emergency stop must be achieved through safety circuits such as PLC.
Troubleshooting and Common Problems
Unable to enter configuration mode: attempt to urgently start the program or check if the power supply is stable.
Communication failure: Confirm if the cable type, communication parameter settings, and PLC port pin definitions are correct.
Battery alarm: Replace the battery in a timely manner to avoid data loss.
No display on the screen: Check the backlight power supply and brightness settings.
