Compared to the 6201-2RS (12 × 32 × 10mm), the inner diameter has increased by 41.7%, the outer diameter has increased by 25%, and the width has increased by 20%. The installation space requirement is slightly higher, and the load-bearing foundation is stronger

Rated load

Basic rated dynamic load (Cr): 14.0kN Basic rated static load (Cor): 7.88kN

The dynamic load ratio of 6201-2RS (8.18kN) has increased by 71.1%, and the static load has increased by 79.9%. It can withstand medium to high radial loads and is suitable for medium speed heavy load scenarios

Extreme speed

Lipid lubrication: 16000 r/min Oil lubrication: 22000 r/min

Due to the increase in size, the maximum speed is slightly lower than 6201-2RS (grease lubricated 18000r/min), but still meets the requirements of most medium speed equipment (such as 1500-3000r/min motors)

Sealing form

2RS (double-sided nitrile rubber sealing ring)

Consistent with 6201-2RS, it has dust-proof and grease proof functions, with a protection level of IP52, suitable for humid and dusty environments

Accuracy level

P0 (ordinary grade)/P6 (precision grade, optional)

The accuracy standard is the same as 6201-2RS, P0 level meets general scenarios, and P6 level is suitable for precision transmission (such as servo motors and medical devices)

Materials and Heat Treatment

Inner/outer ring/rolling element: GCr15 bearing steel (quenched hardness HRC 60-64) cage: reinforced nylon 66

The material system is consistent with 6201-2RS, GCr15 steel ensures wear resistance, and the nylon cage is lightweight and noise reducing

Radial clearance

Normal group (C0): 0.007-0.023mm

The clearance range is slightly larger than 6201-2RS (0.005-0.018mm), which is suitable for temperature expansion compensation requirements brought by larger sizes. C3 (high temperature) and C4 (impact) clearances can be customized

Core structural characteristics and advantages

1. Performance improvement brought by size upgrade

Compared to the same series 6201-2RS, the structural optimization of 6203-2RS focuses on "load enhancement" and "scene adaptation":

Load bearing capacity enhancement: The larger inner and outer diameters and width design increase the contact area of the raceway by about 35% compared to 6201-2RS. Combined with the high-strength characteristics of GCr15 steel, the rated dynamic load exceeds 14kN, which can be adapted to 1.5-3kW small and medium-sized motors, 20-30N · m torque transmission shafts, without the need to replace larger series bearings (such as 63 series), saving installation space;

Sealing reliability optimization: Although the sealing form is the same as 2RS, the size of the sealing ring increases with the width of the bearing, and the contact area with the inner ring edge increases by 20%. The sealing pressure is more uniform, and the anti leakage performance is improved by 15% compared to 6201-2RS. Under long-term high-speed (such as 10000r/min) conditions, the leakage of lubricating grease is reduced to ≤ 0.5g/1000 hours;

Enhanced temperature adaptability: Increasing the width expands the heat dissipation area of the bearing by 20%. Combined with the low friction characteristics of the nylon cage, the normal operating temperature is 3-5 ℃ lower than that of the 6201-2RS (when the ambient temperature is 25 ℃, the operating temperature is ≤ 75 ℃), which can avoid overheating during continuous operation at 3000r/min.

2. Compatibility advantages in general scenarios

Continuing the classic design of deep groove ball bearings, while optimizing for medium load scenarios:

Bidirectional axial load bearing: The symmetrical raceway structure can withstand bidirectional axial loads (axial load capacity is about one-third of the radial capacity, i.e. about 4.7kN), which is 74% higher than 6201-2RS (axial capacity is about 2.7kN). It is suitable for equipment with axial displacement (such as motors with belt transmission, where belt tension generates axial force), without the need for additional thrust bearings;

Installation flexibility: Although the size is larger than 6201-2RS, it still belongs to the category of miniature bearings (outer diameter ≤ 40mm), which can be adapted to equipment installed on 35mm standard DIN rails without installation direction restrictions. The orientation of the sealing ring can be flexibly adjusted according to the source of dust/moisture;

Controllable maintenance cost: Pre installed lithium based grease (applicable temperature -20 ℃~120 ℃) at the factory, the maintenance cycle is extended by 10% -15% compared to 6201-2RS (about 3500-5500 hours to replenish grease), reducing the frequency of later maintenance.

Adapt devices and application scenarios

1. Core adaptive mechanical system (mainly different from the 6201-2RS scenario)

Based on size and load characteristics, the 6201-2RS is suitable for light load small-sized equipment, while the 6203-2RS focuses on the "medium load medium size" scenario:

Drive system: end cap bearings for 1.5-3kW asynchronous motors (such as fan motors and water pump motors), output shaft support for 200W-500W servo motors (such as 80 series servo motors), and transmission shaft for electric tools (high-power angle grinders, cutting machines);

Transmission system: low-speed shaft of small planetary reducer (output torque 20-50N · m), drum shaft of belt conveyor (bandwidth ≤ 500mm), intermediate shaft of gearbox (module ≤ 2);

General equipment: household air conditioning compressor (speed of about 2800r/min), washing machine drum motor (higher load than dehydration motor), medical equipment (medium-sized centrifuge, dental mobile phone), office equipment (fixing roller shaft for large printers and copiers).

2. Typical application cases

In the field of electric tools: In the 18V high-power angle grinder (output power of 800W), bearings are installed between the motor rotor and the output gear, bearing radial loads (about 5-8kN) and axial loads (about 1-2kN). The 2RS sealing design prevents metal debris from entering, ensuring that the angle grinder can continuously cut metal sheets for 50 hours without failure;

In the field of household appliances, the 3-horsepower household air conditioning compressor (with a speed of about 2800r/min) adopts this bearing, which is designed for high load to adapt to high-pressure working conditions of the compressor (radial load of about 10kN). The nylon cage reduces operating noise (compressor working noise ≤ 55dB), and lithium based grease is suitable for air conditioning operating environments of -10 ℃~60 ℃;

In the field of industrial equipment, the roller shaft (diameter 30mm) of small belt conveyors (conveying capacity ≤ 1t/h) uses this bearing to carry the total radial load of the roller and material (about 6-8kN), with an IP52 protection level to prevent workshop dust from entering and extend the bearing life to over 20000 hours;

In the field of medical devices, dental high-speed mobile phones (with a speed of about 40000 r/min and oil lubrication) use P6 grade 6203-2RS, with low radial runout (≤ 0.008mm) to ensure the concentricity of the phone head and avoid deviation during drilling. The sealing design prevents residual dental materials from contaminating the bearing interior.

Installation and usage precautions (including key differences from 6201-2RS)

1. Installation specifications (with a focus on the operational differences caused by size upgrades)

Installation tool adaptation: As the inner diameter increases to 17mm, it is necessary to use a bearing installation sleeve of the corresponding size (special for inner diameter 17mm) to avoid using a 12mm sleeve of 6201-2RS, which may cause installation tilt; When using interference fit, the heating temperature should still be ≤ 120 ℃, but the heating time needs to be extended by 10% -15% (due to increased volume) to ensure uniform expansion of the inner ring;

Adjustment of fit tolerance: The recommended fit between the shaft diameter and the inner ring is H7/k6 (transitional fit, suitable for medium load) or H7/m6 (interference fit, suitable for heavy load), which is tighter than H7/g6 (clearance fit) of 6201-2RS to avoid slippage of the bearing inner ring under medium load; The recommended fit between the outer ring and the bearing seat is J7/h6 (clearance fit for easy installation);

Axial clearance reservation: When multiple bearings are installed in parallel (such as at both ends of a motor), due to the increase in width, the axial clearance needs to be reserved at 0.15-0.25mm (0.05mm more than 6201-2RS) to compensate for temperature expansion and prevent axial jamming.

2. Key points for use and maintenance

Load and speed control: It is prohibited to exceed the rated dynamic load of 14kN for use. For example, when a 3kW motor is running at full load, the radial load is about 12kN (with a 20% safety margin reserved); The speed of grease lubrication should not exceed 16000 r/min. High speed equipment (such as dental phones) should be lubricated with oil and regularly changed (special lubricating oil should be changed every 50 hours);

Temperature and noise monitoring: Normal operating temperature ≤ 75 ℃ (environment 25 ℃), shutdown for inspection if exceeding 85 ℃; Due to its larger size, abnormal noise (such as buzzing) is more easily noticeable. When noise occurs, priority should be given to investigating whether there is overload or installation deviation (6203-2RS is more sensitive to installation deviation, and noise will be generated if the deviation is greater than 0.02mm);

Environmental protection enhancement: In medium load humid environments (such as washing machine drum motors), it is recommended to add waterproof rubber rings to the bearing end caps in addition to the sealing rings to prevent moisture from seeping in; In industrial scenarios with high levels of dust, such as cutting machines, it is necessary to clean the dust around the bearings weekly to avoid dust accumulation and wear on the sealing rings.

3. Troubleshooting and replacement

Common differences in faults: Compared to the 6201-2RS, the 6203-2RS is more prone to "track peeling" faults (caused by overload) due to higher loads, resulting in increased vibration during operation (vibration acceleration>1.5m/s ²), and needs to be replaced in a timely manner;

Replacement principle: When the radial clearance exceeds 0.06mm (more than 3 times that of ordinary group C0), there are obvious scratches on the raceway, or the seal is damaged, it needs to be replaced; When replacing, it should be noted that the dimensions of 6203-2RS and 6201-2RS are incompatible and cannot be mixed (due to significant differences in inner and outer diameters, forced installation may cause damage to the shaft or bearing seat).
