Product positioning and function: HK1-11 auxiliary contacts are designed for use with ABB related electrical equipment,

mainly used to reflect the working status of the main contacts of switches and contactors in the main circuit,

and transmit these status signals to other parts of the control system to realize remote monitoring, signal feedback and logic control of the circuit, etc.

For example, in motor control circuits, the main contacts of contactors can be closed by means of HK1-11 auxiliary contacts.

For example, in the motor control circuit, through the HK1 - 11 auxiliary contact,

the closing or disconnecting status of the main contact of the contactor can be transmitted to the control center,

so that the operator can know the running status of the motor in real time.

Product family affiliation: It is a member of the ABB electrical equipment accessory system and is closely aligned with

    ABB's manual motor starters (models MS116, MS132, MS165, etc.).

This close correlation ensures seamless collaboration and optimal performance of the components in the entire electrical system.

ABB HK1 - 11 Auxiliary Contacts: Critical Connectors for Industrial Electrical Systems

Product Basics Overview

Product structure and design features

Structure: It is mainly composed of contacts, springs, insulating shells and connecting terminals.

Contacts as the core components, made of high quality conductive materials, such as silver alloy,

with good electrical conductivity and anti-melting performance, in the frequent on and off operation,

can stably transfer the current to reduce the contact erosion, prolong the service life.

The spring provides power for the action of the contact to ensure that the auxiliary contact can respond quickly and accurately

when the main contact state changes. The insulating shell is made of high-strength insulating material,

which can not only effectively isolate the internal electrically charged parts and prevent electric shock accidents,

but also resist the erosion of dust and moisture in the industrial environment and guarantee the normal work of the internal electrical components.

The connection terminals are well-designed to facilitate connection with external circuits and ensure the stability of signal transmission.

Design features: The overall design is compact and small, with a net width of only 9mm, a net depth (length) of 78.5mm,

a net height of 90mm, and a weight of about 0.035kg.

This compact design makes it easy to be installed in electrical control cabinets where space is limited, and does not take up too much valuable space.

The mounting method adopts side mounting,

through the specific mounting structure and the main equipment close combination, the installation process is simple and fast,

and after installation, high stability, not easy to loosen.

At the same time, its protection level reaches IP20, which can effectively prevent foreign objects with a diameter of more than 12mm

and fingers from touching the internal electrically charged parts, and to a certain extent protects the safety of the use process.

Electrical performance parameters

Rated Insulation Voltage and Rated Impulse Withstand Voltage:

The rated insulation voltage (Ui) is as high as 690V, which means that it is able to maintain good insulation performance in a higher voltage environment to

ensure the safety of the electrical system. Rated impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) for auxiliary circuits 6kV, with a strong resistance to voltage shocks,

can effectively deal with the industrial field may appear in the instantaneous overvoltage and other abnormalities,

to protect the auxiliary contact itself and the electrical equipment connected to the safe operation of the auxiliary contact.

Rated operating current and performance under different load types:

Under different load types, HK1-11 auxiliary contacts have different rated operating currents.

Under alternating current loads (AC - 15), the rated operating current (Ie) is 6A at 24V, 4A at 240V, 1A at 690V, and 3A at 380/400V.

Under direct current loads (DC - 13), Ie is 2A at 24V, 0.55A at 125V, 0.27A at 250V, 0.15A at 440V, and 0.15A at 600V.

These rated operating current parameters for different load types enable them to be widely used in a variety

of complex industrial electrical environments to meet the control needs of different electrical equipment.

Electrical and Mechanical Durability: Electrical and mechanical durability is up to 100000 cycles.

This means that the electrical and mechanical properties of the HK1-11 auxiliary contact can remain stable over a long period of frequent use,

and will not deteriorate or wear out as a result of frequent on/off operations, which greatly reduces the frequency of equipment maintenance and replacement,

lowers the operating costs of industrial production, and improves the reliability and stability of the production system.
